Regarding the wizard spell Grease.
The spell is a daily spell. So I can cast the Grease spell once per day and put the zone down. Is the Grease Attack (listed as a daily free action) only usable once per day as well, or does the Grease Attack trigger every time a creature enters the zone?
The Daily creates the zone. The zone power is at-will. It shows as Daily in the character builder because it is associated with the daily, but this is misleading. The character builder is wrong to suggest it.

Even the Rules Compendium has the Grease Attack as a daily free action. That is why I am confused, because if it really is a daily, the spell itself is pretty useless. Is there a more authoritative source that says the zone power is at-will?

The book.
The Compendium and the Builder are *not rules sources*.

Saying "even the Compendium" is stupid. The CB and Compendium pull from the same database, if one is wrong the other is automatically wrong. Neither the Compendium nor the CB are a rules source, they are a mostly correct, but incomplete, reference. If you want to know what something actually says, you need the book. In the book, Grease's Secondary power is at-will.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask a simply question: if someone use a immediate reaction in the first round, that creature has acted? I ask this because the rogue feature "First Strike" only works if a creature hadn't acted yet, and I had a discussion with my friends about this rule. If someone could clarify this and point out in wich page the rule is, it will be great

Hi guys I've only just bought my red box and am starting up a game with some friends who have also never played before. I was just wondering about modifiers, the books seem very vague when rolling dice "roll a d20 and add any relevant modifiers." I'm at a loss to find something which tells me what is relevant. Any tips would also be really appreciated! Cheers

At the end of our Campaign we got a unique Item called Sir Rolands Spear.
Our group don't know who actualy should use this.
Its a +2 Spear, deals radiant dmg, crit 1d10 radiant dmg per plus and his property is "This weapon has the heavy thrown property and a range of 10/20"
I am playing a Rogue and the group thought that a spear is a kinda Dex oriented weapon, but i searched through the web and found that "heavy thrown" means the Attribute it uses is Strength.
Can someone tell me where i can find this rule about "heavy thrown"? Can a/my rogue throw this spear at all? - in the character builder of wizards spears are all red marked for me. Should i hand this spear to the defender?

Rogues won't have proficiency with it and can't use it for their powers. When making an RBA with it, they would use STR. Yes, you should toss it to someone who can use it better, and keep using your dagger.

Our DM wanted me to check this, so I have a quick question: our fighter is always mounted; he uses the speed of his mount. He does, however, have magic shoes (boots of rapid motion) that can give him a +1 on his movement speed. If he uses that one, does it affect his movement speed while mounted? I would think not, since he wears the shoes and not his mount... But does anyone know the official rules about this and maybe where it can be found?

They would not affect his movement speed while mounted. Similarly, Slippers of Spider Climbing would not allow his mount to climb, etc, etc.
Now, if we were to have horsehoes of rapid motion or something similar made for his mount, then his mount would have +1 movement speed.
