Both. It's a power with the range melee weapon, which means that YOU can use it on a target within your melee reach. It allows an ally of yours to make an MBA against the target, which THEY can only do if they're within THEIR melee reach of the target.

Question about the warlock PP "Astral Ascendant"
Radiant Curse (11th level): Your Warlock’s Curse deals radiant damage. You can deal your Warlock’s Curse’s extra damage to a creature affected by your Warlock’s Curse when an ally hits that creature, but still only once per round.
This feature allows the warlock, to trigger his curse on an allies hit. Now i'm just wondering, how is this damage resolved?
Is it added to the damage the ally who hit dealt?
Is it an independent damage roll caused by the warlock, that is modified by static damage bonuses (like items and feats) of the warlock, that don't need the implement keyword?
Is it extra damage on your ally's attack.
Thank you for your reply, but could you further elaborate on this? My confusion stems from the wording of the PP feature "You can deal your Warlock’s Curse’s extra damage to a creature...". It doesn't say, something like "you can add your warlocks curse damage to an allies damage roll..." If i remember correctly, the differentiation of damage rolls and extra damage rolls has been removed from the rules in the book of random changes (RC), so this could even work, theoretically.

The key word there is 'extra damage' - you recollect incorrectly that this was changed in the RC.

Are you sure? I mean i never checked this myself, but i think lordofweasels and alcestis often mentioned this in rules Q&A threads, as well as calling the RC the book of random changes.

I'm pretty sure. If that wording had indeed been removed it breaks basically everything.

RC Glossary pg 311 extra damage: Many powers and other effects grant the ability to deal extra damage. Extra damage is always in addition to other damage and is of the same type or types as that damage, unless otherwise noted. An effect that deals no damage cannot deal extra damage.
So, yeah, it is in the RC and thus has not been changed at all. Also can be found in the damage section of RC on page 223 for more details.

Thanks for your help! This means a lot to me, because otherwise the curse could never be maximised when an ally crits!

Do I need the base item in order to use an upgraded version?
Example: Do I need to carry a "Totem" in order to carry "Totem of thorns +1"?

No. If you have a Totem of Thorns +1, you now have a Totem whether or not you had one previously.

My Hybrid's encounters powers go like this:
E1: Class A E3: Class B E7: Class A
Can I now retrain the E1 to be from Class B? I'd keep the requirement of having a power from each class, but I'm slightly iffy about whether this works for some reason.
