The effect that changed your size to Large or Huge will tell you.  If it makes no mention, then your reach does not change.

I am with ankiyavon on this.
Huge Size creatures have a Reach of 2-3 normally, yet a Huge Death Boar or Spirehorn Behemoth has only a Reach of 1.

Its like Polearms. Polearms are said to be Reach weapon by nature, yet the Talenta Sharrash Polearm has no Reach whatsoever.

It's only a correlation because it's not strictly linear:

creature size and space

Each creature falls into one of six size categories. A creature’s size determines its space and affects its reach.

SizeSpaceReach
Tiny 1/2 × 1/2 0
Small 1 × 1 1
Medium 1 × 1 1
Large 2 × 2 1 or 2
Huge 3 × 3 2 or 3
Gargantuan 4 × 4 or larger 3 or 4

If you go from Medium to Large, your reach doesn't automatically increase because there can be a Large creature with a reach of 1.  If you go from Medium to Huge, your reach must be at least 2.  Compendium quotes RC 199 as its source, can anyone verify?

Affects =! Determines.

Plus it says "a creature's basic body shape usually determines its reach; a large Ogre has a reach of 2, but a large Horse has a reach of 1." RC 201.

Usually =! always.

Causation = always.

So your reach is not affected by your size unless it says so.

Excellent. So my character is a rat, pinning you in place from ten feet away. Hooray magic!

I'm just happy I get to make a brawler fighter rat :D

Question

I'm making a ranger cleric hybrid who will wield a fullblade.  I really like the level 16 utility power Ranger's Parry.  It says you have to be wielding two melee weapons to use it.  Could I have a gauntlet axe on one hand and still fight with the full blade and qualify for this power?

If not, what can I do to make this work?

Thanks in advance!

You're trying to build a class whose entire effectiveness is built around dual-wielding (or using a bow) with a 2her?

Cleric|Barbarian. No charge (which is funny because there will, in fact, be charging).

Lol, thanks for the recommendation.  I intentionally didn't put this on the charop forum because I know that ranger is not the best for two handers but I have found a way to make it work and it is what I want to do.

So the question is, will the gauntlet axe or a similar no hand weapon qualify for the requirement of that power or is there another way around this within the ranger|cleric framework?

There's nothing that stops you from wielding a gauntlet axe and a two handed weapon at the same time, so that should qualify you for anything that requires wielding two melee weapons.

Regarding size modification, if a creature uses a power that cahnges it's size to tiny, is it's reach now reduces to 0, even if the power does not say so?

No, the people who said that are flatly wrong.

Best to ask your DM how they interpret the size and space rules (RC p.199).
