You just need to have a spellbook.
Correct, but the fact that it's in the spellbook means precisely nothing if you don't have the class feature that lets the spellbook do something more useful than a doorstop.

Okay, but doesn't that mean that you should be able to use it, even if you are a hybrid wizard? Or because of the hybrid, a wizard suddenly doesn't have a class feature to use a spellbook?

Sorry i misread and thought you said you couldn't take the theme, not the power. The CB is correct in how it handles it. If you don't have a X Spellbook feature, you can still take the Theme, but since the L5 feature doesn't let you gain a utility power, it won't do anything since the purpose of the L5 feature is to give you the possibility to select a utility power throught either preperation or retrain rather than to give you an additional one.

As a hybrid wizard, you have much of a wizard’s versatility in power selection, but you give up the flexibility provided by the Ritual Casting and Spellbook class features, as well as the Arcane Implement Mastery class feature.

That's the fluff part though. The revelant part in hybrid wizard rulewise is: (no Spellbook feature) Class features: Cantrips Hybrid Talent Options: Arcane Implement Mastery.

It's not really fluff, when it refers to specific mechanical features that you don't have.

Yes it is. Fluff text is fluff text regardless of what it says. What matters is which class feature is written wether the fluff corroborate or not.

Q: The swordmage 22 utility power Giant's Might (FRPG) increases your size category. It says that if "this power increases your size to Large, Huge, or Colossal, your space increases to match". I'm pretty certain that Colossal doesn't exist in 4e, and this should have referred to Gargantuan instead. Can anyone confirm this for me?
While I'm here, does Giant's Might works alongside Draconic Form, from the Draconic Incarnation ED (Dragon 388)? If it won't let me go to 4x4 squares and use my massive dragon mini for my character, I'll be pretty disappointed.

Order Adept Theme question. It says at Level 5, if you have a spellbook, you can add one 2nd-level wizard utility power to it. Does the character have to be a wizard to get this? Or does the character just need to have purchased a spellbook and it doesn't matter what class they are?
Probably worth pointing out that the Character Builder and Compendium entries for the Order Adept Theme are incorrect, they should read: 5th level: You gain a +2 power bonus to Arcana checks. If you have a spellbook, add one 2nd-level wizard utility power to it. If you don’t have a spellbook, you can choose wizard utility powers of a particular level or lower when you gain or retrain utility powers of that level. 10th level: You gain a +1 power bonus to Will. Your power bonus to Arcana checks from this theme increases to +4.
Xaspian: RAW: A Typo that makes the power not function properly due to Colossal not existing means the power wouldn't increase your size to Gargantuan. RAI: That's silly, the power isn't even very good since it's a Daily power, and the Typo is so stupidly obvious that anyone who's not an Aspie should allow you to use your Mini.
"Invokers are probably better round after round but Wizard dailies are devastating. Actually, devastating is too light a word. Wizard daily powers are soul crushing, encounter ending, havoc causing pieces of awesome." -AirPower25 Sear the Flesh, Purify the Soul; Harden the Heart, and Improve the Mind; Born of Blood, but Forged by Fire; The MECH warrior reaches perfection.
