Hi all
Best way to ask this question is by example.
I have a Paladin with str 13 and con 13. Could he wear plate without penalty? While he starts with the proficiency in plate he does not have the minimum stat requirement to wear it.
I'd say no until such time as he got his stats up the the min required then he'd get the actual proficiency, but I would like other opinions on this.

You can use any armor you have proficiency with from your class, regardless of your stats. This is touched on in the first entry of the FAQ, which can be found here (scroll down once there): http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wiz … _topview=1
