I don't even think that everything from the issue has made it into the compendium. I know the the stuff from the "Jousting" article is not in the compendium.

What is Unearthed Arcana? Or what sets it apart from other things (e.g. why does it not end up in the compendium)? I'm not sure if I've read any other UA than the Strongholds article and figured that it was just that it ties in more with older editions.

I've not been keeping up with everything as of late but if i'm not mistaken, UA if like the previous edition is "alternate rules" so it makes sense that it would not be in the compendium which tries to keep up with actual rules content.

PCs are Mounts so long as they fulfill the 'willing adjacent creature' and size clauses (RC 252). Just be aware of the shared action clause of the same rules (RC 254).

When making the triggered attack with it, does it count as an area burst 1 within 10, except targeting only the triggering creature?
If so, would that subject the attacker to the typical limitations of the attack type, including the range limit, need for line of effect, and provocation of opportunity attacks?

Q. Let's say I have an elf sentinel with a companion theme (ie fey beast trainer or sidhe lord theme) and the character itself has a base 12 perception. I need to make a perception check. Can I and my theme companion auto assist my sentinel companion in making the check?
So the check becomes d20+14 (my sentinel companion has my my perception +2)+4 (my and theme's assist)

Dwarven Weapon Training
Weapon Expertise
Master at Arms
Or could I use two of them?

The rule is: you can't stack things of the same type. For example you can't stack Master at Arms (+1 to hit with all weapons) and Light blade Expertise (+1 to hit with light blades), but Dwarven Weapon Training is +2 to damage. So feel free to use Master-at-arms OR Axe/Hammer Expertise in conjunction with DWT.
