yeah, i guess MC'ing into fighter is better for all the nice forced movement feats that comes with it and power-swapping into some of the nice stances that they have.

How would armor of exploits rate compared to, say, meliorating armor for a striker-centric half-orc Straladin? It seems like having another swing at Heedless Fury would be pretty potent, as would swiping a fellow ranger's twin strike, for example.
Are all weapon attacks martial attacks? If not, Heedless Fury is a divine attack and wouldnt be elligible. Im sure that with the right paragon path it can be very strong. A particularly nice boost for a Strikerdin atleast in heroic would be the Sohei theme and using armor of exploits to use this twice in an encounter/day.
Edit > Boo sucks to that, the armor stored power is always a standard action and uses an action point.

I think fey shift is a good idea, especially if you have a cheap way to boost the teleport distance some. It gives you a way to move around when immobilized, need to shift more than 1, and other situations like that.
Thx, I'll go for the feat. While I have no teleport enhancers atm, I could notice in the meantime how annoying grabs can be (luckily not with my char). And for Chaladins they are usally even worse. Also I think blinking around at-will is quite cool.

No, they have the power source as indicated by their keywords.

Doh! I had assumed it was going to be martial (what with the sword swinging). It is, in fact, divine.
So I'd be stuck with a daily twin-strike... not very appealing. Back to the item list...

I know the paladin already has access to several great paragon paths, but I thought Dark Watcher from Heroes of Shadow deserves mention:
11 feature: you can choose to make your opportunity attacks weaken instead of do damage. Action point: UEONT allies get +4 power bonus to defenses and do not provoke opportunity attacks 16: allies get +2 power bonus to death saves, you die after 4 death saves
11 power: immediate reaction, enemy that attacks ally is blinded until end of your next turn (decent punishment stacker for a paladin) 12: daily: immediate reaction (ally drops below 0 HP), you teleport adjacent to ally and he can spend a healing surge 20: auto-hit standard action: allies get +2 power bonus to attacks and +5 power bonus to damage against targetted enemy until end of encounter. Enemy takes -2 penalty to attacks until end of encounter.

Have we considered the cleric's Anointed Champion paragon path as an option for Wis/Cha paladins? It requires a multiclass feat, but the daily power and the action point feature are both incredible. Only the level 16 feature is really disappointing. (The added options are nice, but you have to lose your level 11 feature (sorta) to get your level 16 feature, which is kind of lame.)
Also, I seem to remember a Dragon article a while back that had alternative expertise feats that granted attack bonuses with a specific weapon and implement in the same feat. I think one was created with paladins in mind and another for bards & such. I can't find any references to it now, though. Do we know what happened to it?
D&D rules were never meant to exist without the presence of a DM. RAW is a lie.

So Dragon 402 Tools of Two Trades was finalized, and I have to say this as gold as it gets for for sword and board paladins:
Devout Protector Expertise Prerequisite: Proficiency with holy symbols Benefit: You gain a +1 feat bonus to weapon attack rolls you make with any one-handed melee weapon and a +1 feat bonus to implement attack rolls you make with holy symbols. These bonuses increase to +2 at 11th level and +3 at 21st level. In addition, while you use a shield, your allies gain a +1 shield bonus to AC.
You don't even have to be wielding the holy symbol to get that shield bonus out, and it doesn't appear to have a range limitation. Pretty swanky.

+1 shield bonus for allies anywhere on the map? Damn, that's mad good.
D&DN Paladin: Half-Fighter, half-Cleric, all useless. D&DN Ranger: Third-Fighter, third-Rogue, third-Druid, all useless. With one interesting concept that has its execution botched. My 4e Character Op work:Character guides
