This is pretty similar to a cleric I whipped up for my wife last week.

I used a luckblade fullblade so as to help ensure not missing.

Has she played it out? What level? What was the experience? I'm finding that the build is very playable at early levels, which is my criticism of some optimized builds.

Feats - Selected / Replaced
1 / Toughness /
2 / Enlarged Dragon Breath(I focused on only committing one feat to improve dragon breath so this gets switched out later on for Empowered) /
4 / Initiate of the Faith /
6 / Weapon Focus (Bastard Sword) /
8 / Blade Opportunist /
10 / Righteous Rage of Tempus(FREE CRIT ON HIT!!!), Weapon Focus(Fullblade) / Weapon Focus (Bastard Sword)
11 / Empowered Dragon Breath, Heavy Blade Opportunity / Enlarged Breath Weapon

Forgive my ignorance since I'm new to these boards, but where did the weapon proficiency for Bastard Sword come from since neither the Paladin nor Cleric get it to start with? It seems you're jumping into weapon focus straight off.

Cheers,
Al

That was a misnomer. It was supposed to be Weapon Proficiency (Bastard Sword). I edited it to fix the feat.

Just an extension on all this: I was looking for reliability and uber striker damage 1/encounter.

lvl 14
Dragonborn
paladin of Tempus
MC warlock
Caiphon PP

Items of interest
war ring(lvl 16)
--property: deal an extra die of crit hit damage (high crit)
+3 Bloodiron great axe(lvl 13)
--crit: +1d10/plus
--property: deal extra crit damage to your target again
Couters of Second Chances (lvl 5)
--(daily: try that melee attack again)
Assault Boots(lvl 12)
--property: crit-> knocked prone
Solitaire (Aquamarine)(lvl 16)
--enc:crit-> make basic melee attack
great axe
--d12, high crit
Belt of Recovery (lvl 7)
--property: crit -> +2 AC
Feats of interest
Righteous rage of tempus
-duh.
enlarged dragon breath
-this is almost required for any dragonborn
pact initiate(star)
-enterance to Caiphon Paragon Path
Empowered Dragon Breath
-dragon breath d6 -> d10
Devestating Critical
-+1d10 on a crit
he uses RROT and Whirlwind Smite for the win

Whirlwind Smite
close burst 1
attack: str vs. AC
hit: 2[w] + str + marked

encounter 1 and 2
2*12 + str + 3(magic) + 2d12(high crit) + 1d12(ring) + 3d10(bloodiron) + 1d10(devestating) = 24+10+13+21 = 37+31 = 72.5
2d12(high crit) + 1d12(ring) + 3d10(bloodiron) + 1d10(devestating) = 13+21 = 40.5
1d12 + str + 3 @ +2 to attack(prone) = 11.5

= 127.5 to each adjacent target and now they're all prone and marked
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

encounter 3 use ring's daily
2*12 + str + 3(magic) + 2*12(high crit) + 2*12(ring) + 3*10(bloodiron) + 10(devestating) = 115
2*12(high crit) + 2*12(ring) + 3*10(bloodiron) = 88
1d12 + str + 3 @ +2 to attack(prone) = 11.5

= 217.5 to each adjacent target and now they're all prone and marked

This is his 1/encounter short burst nova.
He can clear the minions with his breath weapon
He'll frequently crit with his radiant powers because of the Caiphon PP for being able to crit on 18-20 with radiant powers(Holy Strike).

Question
Ciaphon's Star Bright says that when you use an action point to make an extra attack, and it hits, you can treat it as a radiant power.
Caiphon’s Guidance says to treat all radiant powers able to crit on 18-20. Would that retroactivly treat a natural 18-19 as a crit?

Paladin takes an action point to use a nice encounter power and rolls an 18. Star Bright activates with the action point and now that encounter power has the radiant power. Caiphon’s Guidance activates and claims the 18 was now a crit.

What do I have wrong here?

NOTE: it has been brought to my attention that RROT only applies to the first target, so a close burst wouldn't work. But the rest is still good.

How much damage should I shoot for? Show

You're fired          : 1 Kills Per 5 Rounds = .2 KPR
Fair Striker          : 2 Kills Per 5 Rounds = .4 KPR
Highly Optimized : 3 Kills Per 5 Rounds = .6 KPR
Nerfbat please     : 4 Kills Per 5 Rounds = .8 KPR
It's OVER 9000!!!!!: 5 Kills Per 5 Rounds = 1+ KPR

DPR?  KPR?  KP4R?  Bless you Show

DPR = Damage Per round ~= Chance to hit * damage on a hit
KPR = Kills Per Round.  1 Kill = 8*Level+24 damage
       = DPR/(8*level+24)
KPNR = Kills Per N Rounds.  How many standards can you kill in N rounds?

@Borg285: I am pretty sure that RRoT can only trigger a single crit. The wording of RRoT specifically mentiones "the target" not targets. There is a bit of siggle since it does not specifically say 'your next attack roll' like many similar abilities, but at the same time I think it takes a particularly liberal reading of the rules to let the power autocrit on every attack of a close burst.

I'll second that interpretation. RRoT isn't crit for a power, it's a crit on a single attack. In fact, I would say it's your first attack following RRoT. That said, you could still drop the crit on the big guy and do normal damage to the rest of them.
