Inspired by this thread, i've decided to make a small resource for finding ways to add extra ability score modifiers to damage.

Right now, this guide will consist of 3 lists. The first list will include any feat, stance, item, or other mechanic that allows you to add an extra amount of damage based on a particular ability score modifier to other attacks. The second list, which i will get around to filling out when i get some free time soon, will be dedicated to powers that add an additional ability score modifier that is unusual for the class it belongs to. An example would be Sly Flourish, which adds not only the customary Dex damage for rogue powers but Cha as well. The third list will deal with ways to add ability score modifier damage on missed attacks.

I have limited access to my books and no access to the compendium so i ask for everyone to chip in if possible.

PART 1: Abilities that grant additional damage to various attacks, as based on a particular ability score modifier. Example: The Pit Fighter's Dirty Fighting feature grants WIS modifier damage to any weapons-based attack, but is not an attack power that deal +WIS damage itself.

STR
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Also incredibly useful with the barbarian powers Thunder Hawk Rage (knock adjacent foes down for free) and Oak Hammer Rage, which knocks down everyone you hit.
Ruthless Ruffian: Rogue Class Feature, Martial Power
Add STR modifier damage when using powers with the Rattling keyword. Incredibly useful when combined with the 10th level rogue utility, Executioner's Mien, which gives every attack you make the Rattling keyword. Note that the Ruthless Ruffian feature can be picked up with the Ruthless Efficiency multiclass feat from Martial Power.

–––––––––––––––––––

PART 2: This list includes attack powers that deal bonus damage from multiple ability score modifiers. They will be listed based on the secondary ability score added, as opposed to primary ability score normally used for attack powers of the class to which the power belongs. For example, the fighter's Brash Strike power is listed under CON even though it does +STR +CON becuase most fighter power already deal +STR damage. Powers that add more than 2 ability modifiers to damage will be listed multiple times, once for each ability modifier added beyond the first one. For example, if a fighter power deals +STR, +DEX and +WIS, it will be listed under both DEX and WIS for ease of reference.

Are we including individual powers in this, or just class/PP abilities and feats?

I would like to include powers that allow you to add ability mods to other attacks. As far as powers, im primarily thinking of dealing with stances such as the ranger's that grants Wis damage to all attacks or otherwise encounter-long powers that grant the bonus to powers other than themselves. Im going to throw in things like combining Ruthless Ruffian with Executioner's Mien in the decription of each thing once i get a chance to go over the actual text.

Ok. So Stances and encounter-long buffs count, but things like the Rogue at-will that adds Cha to an otherwise Dex attack don't count.

That sound right?

Yeah, i figured that mechanics that let you add a bonus to a multitude of other powers are a little more useful for optimization since they can more easily be stuck into various builds. Of course, there really arent too many Sly Flourish type powers out there as far as i know, so it may be worth sticking in for thuroughness.

Brutal Advantage. You can apply your str to any attack that you have CA for but do not sneak attack with (useful for multi attack rogue/ranger builds).

MP gave us a few Fighter powers that add Dex to damage, and Wis to damage is a Ranger standard at some levels.

I see your point, though.

I think i may as well include them anyway since someone who is looking to get the most out of a particular ability score is going to be looking for those particular powers to match. I added Sly Flourish, though im going to have to dig for those other ones. lol

EDIT: actually, i changed my mind back again. If i start adding in every class power that adds a different ability score im afraid the more practical abilities that work in a multitude of situations may get drowned out. For now i will limit the list to things that grant extra damage to a myriad of powers.

Swordmage ability called Sword of Flames, or something similar. After the attack its adds STR mod in fire damage to all attacks. Im AFB ATM so I don't know the exact name/effect. Its low level. -- Gnome
