In the Infernum 3.5 rules, an ordinary Dagger can be used as a melee or throwing weapon. Sacrificial Daggers are designed differently, so they can't be thrown, but they grant a +5 bonus to Coup De Grace attempts.

Yes, the Chainsaw is an Exotic Melee Weapon. In 3.5 it's clumsy, so you suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls and can't use it to make Disarm attempts, and it's useless unless fuelled, which you have to do after every 600 rounds of use. It's a two-handed weapon that deals 3D6 slashing damage and has a X2 Critical score.

Okay, it's been a long, LONG time since this topic was updated; I figured it would probably be better to try and revive this rather than to post a topic about it yet again.

And yes, I know it needs to be moved to Homebrew Campaigns.

The reason I brought this back was because I wanted to try and finish up the translations of these various demons to 4e rules, and because I  had a couple of ideas for fleshing them out in general.

First, a "Hellkin Racial Feat" that comes to mind is a good way to bring in the old "Chain of Man". Essentially, this power gives an At-Will Racial Utility that allows the hellkin to change shape into the form of a unique individual belonging to a single other, canonical player race, with the precise race they can choose to be determined by their hellkin race. Each time this feat is chosen (and it's a once-per-tier feat), the character selects a single possible race.

The second idea is a racial feat (paragon tier?) that allows a hellkin to upgrade their Fire resistance to also resist Poison, Acid, Lightning, Thunder or Frost damage at the same rate. Again, one type of damage resistance is gained each time it's chosen.

Third idea; a special paragon path for Beasts of the Arcane or Psychic classes that enhances their casting abilities and allows them to shapeshift  into combat-based forms for attack.
