This is my first crack at converting what took the WOTC possibly 6 months in about a day in a half a day, so please, here's a PEACH. Give one to me after you read this. Monstrous RaceAn outcast amongst their race and adventurers alike, they travel the world doing what they can and please. Ability Scores: +2 x to two of three highest ability scores in monster Size: As creature upto large Speed: As creature upto 7 x squares, other speeds upto 2 Vision: As creature ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Languages: Two of the creature's known Skill Bonuses: +2 x to skills listed. If more than one, pick two of your choice. If only one, the other skill is determined by the creature's role: Artillery: Perception Brute: Endurance Controller: Insight (Leader): Diplomacy/Bluff/Intimidation Lurker: +2 x to initiative Soldier: Athletics Skirmisher: Stealth Monstrous Defense Choose an ability in the monsters stat block such as resist, blindsight, or a race specific ability. You cannot choose an ability that grants extra actions, nor can you take one that deals damage. You may not pick the creature's aura, but it may be used as an encounter power. Abilities with numeric values such as resist, the value is lessened to 5 x + half your level. If there are no abilities to choose from, you may choose to give a +1 bonus to the creature's defenses by through their role. The values are given below: Artillery: Will Brute: Fortitude Controller: Will Luker: Reflex Skirmisher: Reflex Soldier: Fortitude If the ability scores bonuses are the same, you gain a +1 x to a save of your choice. Monstrous Power: Choose a power in the creature's stat block that isn't an attack based on a weapon. You may use this power as either an at-will, an encounter and a daily power. If the ability is based on an attack, replace the attack bonus with the normal rules for attacks +2 x per tier. The ability score used is based on the defense used against it. AC: Strength (if melee) or Dexterity (if ranged) Fortitude: Strength, Dexterity or Constitution. Reflex: Strength, Intelligence or Charisma Will: Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma The damage is decreased to 1 x dX, the x being the die used. This die increases by one per tier reached. You may not recharge the power if it is listed. From the high mountains, to the deep depths of the Underdark. From the silvery, gossamer oceans of the Astral Sea to the swirling fire, water, earth, wind, light and sound of the Elemental Chaos, there are creatures who adventure that are the monsters they slay. These savage heroes travel the world looking to advance they're kin's ideal of the world, to escape they're brethrens wrath, or simply travel the world with no mind for either their race or others. Play a monstrous race if you want . . . ✦ to play a monstrous or savage hero ✦ to play a tormented character who tries to fit into humanoid society, or one that scoffs at the "lesser" races civilization ✦ to look for a reason to play an evil race, or an individual that looks for redemption ✦ to be able to excel at any class you choose

Monstrous Destiny
"I am a not a monster, I'm a true legend!"
Requirements: 21 level, monstrous race, Monstrous Paragon
Immortality in Legends: When you complete your epic quest, you final goal, you have become a legend amongst your kind and all others. To the common races of the prime such as humans, elves and halfings, you are either the one that child fear defying their parents for because you might get them if they're bad, or perhaps you are the one that everyone wants to play. Statues, buildings and entire towns are built in your testament, as a symbol of what you represented or what someone like you could rise or step down to. Many groups and organizations use your name as both a symbol of who they are, and to strike fear in those against them. You could be a force that desimates many heroes of the world, or the nearly divine creature who is the hero.
To your own culture, your either an icon of what they should be or a betrayer to your people. You may have be thought of as a sort of saint, a creature who the young look up to as an icon, and who the crowds celebrate as a holiday. Whether it's civilized society or a primal one, you are hero amongst them. Alternately, your a traitor to your people, a symbol of everything that isn't them. Many of your kind revile you, and your name could be used as a curse, a word only whispered or never said or one called by their enemies. To them, your scum of the lowest sort, but to those who live in exile and persecution, possibly to an unjust society, your tales are the only thing that make the nights bareable because you proved you can make it. Either way, though you may be lost or have died because of some event, you live on because your name and your story does.
Legendary Ability (21st level): Choose any ability from your monster's race as an ability. You also pick any ability of similar origin, type and subtype as you.
Savage Renew (24th level): When your hit points are reduced to 0, you may shift 4 squares and use any power as a free action. If the attack deals any damage, you heal that damage. You may keep gaining hit points until you either reach your full hit point total or 10 rounds have passed, but you may no longer take a free unless the power allows it or another power allows you to.
Monstrous Strength (26th level): You may use the Monstrous Strength utility power
Monstrous Strength Monstrous Destiny Utility 26 Whether it be from the inner reserves of your very center or from your own opponent, you gain strength and vitality that you use against your foes. Daily Minor Action while bloodied Effect: You gain regeneration 20 and +10 to all damage. This effect lasts 5 rounds.
Legendary Power: You may learn a power from your character's stat block or one of similar origin, type and subtype.

With the amount of DM intervention this needs, what's the point?
Helpful comment now: Give a/the +1 to saves if it the 2 +2s are in the same save. That's why eladrin have it, for example. Note that if there are multiple, similar monsters, and they have the same ability, if you make a race, you should give them that ability duh.
Not enough time right now to drool over the MM and make cool/stupid races. Fire giant vs. rat swarm or ochre jelly? Also an interesting mod to make, say, an elite NPC of an elite race...

So, you don't like it or do, exactly?
Alright, I can imagine doing that.

ooze races amuse me (gcube): +2 str, +2 con +2 stealth, +2 endurance +1 reflex, resist acid 5+1/2 level Engulf, str or con +2/4/6 vs. Reflex (had to modify cause int/cha don't make sense), grabbed, pulled, and dazed, 1 ongoing damage.
While flipping through the idea of an orcus race amused me even more +2 str, +2 con +2 intimidate, +2 religion +1 will, resist poison Tail Lash 1d8
and now for a realistic race, the choker +2 str, +2 dex +2 stealth, +2 initiative +4 to defense against grab escapes Choke, str/dex vs. Fort, 1d8+str damage
I think it needs another ability. 1 non-power is really low for a race.
