.Dot Iz A Verra Gut Hat: Jägers take hats very seriously. They gain a +2 to Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Bluff checks if they are wearing a particularly fine chapeau, and a -2 if they are Hatless. Diplomacy checks against Jägers also get a +2 bonus if the opposed party is adorned with appropriately impressive headgear. Only one of these modifiers may be in effect at one time. In the event of a conflict, the party with the best hat (DM's discretion) will be awarded the modifier.

Jägerkin are very social, honorable, uncouth people. They are led as a race by a body of generals, and make up one very large pack, which any individual Jäger is loathe to abandon.
Play a Jägerkin if you want...
- to be powerful, hardy and energetic
- to be a friendly and fiercely loyal hero
- to be a member of a race that favors the fighter, ranger, and warlord classes
Physical Qualities: Jägers can vary wildly in size and appearance, although the vast majority are built like particularly powerful humans. Jägers have lots of sharp teeth and claws and pointed ears. They usually have a thick eastern european/german accent, and they often grow facial hair, although full beards are rare. Jägerkin have dull, thick skin which is often purple, green, or blue. Their skin is rarely a bright color, and sometimes it can be a very human shades of tan. Jägerkin almost universally have terrible hat hair.
A Jäger finds joy in fighting. They are eternally and cheerfully in search of skulls to bash. It is not a matter of pride or a thirst for challege; Jägers were just made to really enjoy combat.
The Jägerkin are an odd brand of contruct; technically they are humans that were long ago changed by the Jägerbräu into nearly immortal beings of enormous strength and endurance. The Jägertroth is an oath required of all Jägers, which instills a fierce sense of devotion and loyalty to their creator, although the Jägers retain their free will. Under very unusual circumstances, a Jäger can renounce the Jägertroth (or be expelled) and is no longer considered Jägerkin, although they retain their abilities.*

*The description of the Jägertroth is a very close paraphrase from Vikingkingq over at ENworld, who phrased it too well for me to do anything but quote him. He also gets kudos for a couple class features and the excellent racial feats, along with Elfstar, Tylelian, and mgshamster, who helped me hash things out and threw in ideas.
