Well, consider me shocked. I do not know what to expect out of more primal and divine classes. I would love to see a Priest and a Crusader class, to give me a new Cleric and Paladin that do not have split attack stats. But that's just me. I see this as a strong possibility. WotC has shown this edition that they like to patch the book-published things by adding more options instead of retooling the existing mechanics (attack and defense feats, new "replacement" orb wizard, etc...). I wouldn't be surprised if we got a one attack stat Favored Soul (cleric) and a one attack stat Crusader (paladin).

My only concern is the minotaur on the cover. I thought we had been told that everything in the magazines was "core", and wouldn't be reprinted except for the yearly anthologies (which may or may not happen now). But first we get Warforged (and granted, I appreciate the thought, putting the 'forged out there for the Eberron junkies to play with until the setting comes out, along with the Artificer playtest), now it looks like minotaur is getting the PH treatment, and I'm betting that when Shadow gets released we'll see the shadar-kai again. With all the good monster races out there (orc, goblinoids, etc), don't tell me the gnoll is going to be the only one coming out in Dragon ('cause a year into it, it's the only one that doesn't look like a candidate for reprinting elsewhere). Sigh....
It was mentioned before, over and over again. The only place in the printed books for new Races and Classes is in the Player Guides (Settings and PHB's). The Yearly Anthologies will not include any of the Races/Classes that had been in the Online service.
Also expect the Races to change a bit, being slightly different than what had been in Dragon.
Hopefully, the Gnoll will stay within the pages of the MM, just as the Goblin, Hobgoblin, Orc, Ogre, etc...
Terms you should know... Spoiler:

Kit Build - A class build that is self sustaining and has mechanical differences than the normal scale. Started in Essentials. Most are call their own terms, though the Base Class should be said in front of their own terms (Like Assassin/Executioner)
Power Points - A mechanic that was wedged into the PHB3 classes (with the exception of the Monk) from the previous editions. This time, they are used to augment At Wills to be Encounters, thus eliminating the need to choose powers past 4th level. Mage Builds - Kit builds that are schools of magic for the Wizard. A call back to the previous editions powering up of the wizard. (Wizard/Necromancer, for example) Unlike the previous kit builds, Wizards simply lose their Scribe Rituals feature and most likely still can choose powers from any build, unlike the Kit Builds.
Parcel System - A treasure distribution method that keeps adventurers poor while forcing/advising the DM to get wish lists from players. The version 2.0 rolls for treasure instead of making a list, and is incomplete because of the lack of clarity about magic item rarity.

They will Essentialize the Essentials classes, otherwise known as Essentials2.
The new sub-sub-classes will be:
* Magician. A subsubclass of Mage, the magician has two implements, wand and hat, one familiar (rabbit) and series of basic tricks. * Crook. A subsubclass of Thief, the Crook can only use a shiv, which allows him to use his only power... Shank. * Angry Vicar, a subsubclass of warpriest, the angry vicar has two attacks -- Shame and Lecture. * Hitter. A subsubclass of Slayer, the Hitter hits things. * Gatherer. A subsubclass of Hunter, it doesn't actually do anything, but pick up the stuff other players might leave behind.
Future Essentials2 classes include the Security Guard (Sentinel2), the Hexknife (Hexblade2), the Webelos (Scout2), the Gallant (Cavalier2) and the Goofus (Knight2).
These will all be detailed in the box set called Heroes of the Futile Marketing.
(Though what they should really release tomorrow is the Essentialized version of the Witchalok!)

'Zerai are more connected to monks than 'Yanki are, and that's definitely a monk. If it were a 'Yanki she'd probably look more like a knight or wizard type. yeah but the zerai have more of a greenish tint to their skin

With Ki gone, I really was wondering what was gonna happen. Looks like that the Divine and Primal sources will have more than 4 Handbook classes, and that Shadow will be a Power Source extension of Arcane in the future books.
I am disappointed.
So now we are left to guess as to which Ki loose ends are being switched to Divine and Primal. I believe the Ninja will be saved for PHB4 for the Shadow power source, perhaps having the Shadow Dancer's abilities folded in along with powers of their own.
I think the Monk just became the 4th edition Physic Warrior in the Psi power source, but with Ki weapons and have two weapon fighting powers like the Ranger. Forget all that passive bilge from the previous edition, the Monk will be outsiders no more.
My real question is why was there such a big deal to get the 4 classes for the Divine and Arcane classes if this was gonna happen anyway?

Yeah, I don't believe we'll ever see a Necromancer. It's likely we see maybe more articles or a supplement that'll lend darkness-themed powers to existing classes, but there's no need to make Necromancer separate from Wizard. The Necromancer and the Illusionist were talked about in various places, and are "official" in that they was, at some point, considered full classes forthcoming in the future, both in the Shadow Power Source.
Myself, I am looking forward to the return of a full fledged Illusionist, instead of the "Specialist" split in the previous edition.

Keep in mind though, not everyone subscribes to DDI. It might be included because of this fact.
Hopefully Wizards will at least release some new feats and such to compensate those who already have the DDI and the artice.

I am actually really disappointed. I have already been waiting for the Shadow Power Source for a while and now it's going to be even longer. So much for a Necromancer. Unless necromancer is being rolled into divine.. Asmodeus is a god after all. Maybe there's a class that worship Orcus?
Though, I'm happy to see the Gith in the PHB3, Minotaur is a surprise though, but a welcome one.
It seems, we know 3 of the races for PHB3. Minotaur, Githzerai, and Wilden. One class is confirmed, the monk.

I'd rather they just rewrite the paladin and cleric class features in an errata section in divine power or somehow patch the classes with tons of love in that book. I have a suspicion you are right about the priest and crusader classes though. If that didn't happen for the Star Pact in Arcane Power, it won't happen for the Cleric or Paladin either.

Well as far as the minotaur I hope they use something closer to the improved version some one put up here, it was a whole lot better without being at all unbalanced.
