Unlike some people, having new divine and primal classes makes me really want the book. I thought of some really fun divine archetypes that haven't been put in their place just yet, like the crusader. I think a crusader would lead his allies into battle and to new places for their god. I think a good mechanic for this would be to give the crusader a divine aura like, allies within 5 squares of you gain a +1 bonus to speed on a charge and do 1d6 extra damage on a charge. Crusader would be like a more offensive cleric.
Then as for a second class, and for extra synergy with the crusader, a templar class. The templar would be kind of like a paladin but a striker. He would do, say, an extra 2[W] damage on a charge. Giving them awesome burst damage. I'd also like to see incentive for spears, like increase the damage dice for spears by one. I'd want to see both the crusader and the templar start with scale proficiency, because both of them would have defender as a secondary role.
Thinking of options like these made it sound really fun to play in a party with a Paladin, a Cleric, an Avenger, a Crusader, and a Templar, all of which worship Pelor and vanquish undead and demons. A party like that would really embrace the idea of divine classes, the cleric could say things like, "Let Pelor's light shine!" before using a power.
Of course, there will be other cool things in PHB3, but new divine classes really has me looking forward for it!
