Deva is a terrible name. It makes me think of female vocalists. I'd never get caught dead playing something called a Deva. It’s pronounced Day-Vah, not Dee-Vuh.

OK? Do you think that it would not be there? Really?
They are a major part of the setting, a cornerstone in the plotline of the background, and really they an unique race made within this setting.
What makes you think they would be elsewhere? Haven't we been over this a hundred times already? My reasoning is essiatlly just that I don't think they will reprint anything from Dragon in any source other then the Annual. As the full warforged write up is in Dragon, redoing it for the Eberron Player's Guide would basically be a reprint.

No one here has convinced me that the EPG won't have Warforged and Kalashtar as PC races. These two are the most iconic of Eberron races, and I still think this is the most likely place for them to appear in print.
Yes, I realize the Warforged already appear in Dragon Magazine. However, this doesn't mean that I don't expect Warforged in the EPG, nor that I think they won't have been updated when they appear there.

It’s pronounced Day-Vah, not Dee-Vuh. Day-Vah still sounds a whole lot like Dee-Vuh, and Deva looks nearly identical to Diva. It's an easy connection to make.

Devas make me think of D-Tamers >.>
I love Horseshoecrabfolk.
What I love most about them is that they seem to be the one thing that we all can agree on.

It’s pronounced Day-Vah, not Dee-Vuh. Oh sorry... Dave it is then. Listening to Devo. Yep, no silly connections to be found anywhere there.

I'm sure if we repeat this often enough, it might sink in. I mean, hey, if it worked for "gish" it will work for a REAL word.
Cheers, Cam
