Two things about the Swordmage/FR issue:
1) The FR player's guide is supposed to be light on FR specific fluff just some of the flavor. The most 'fluff' centric stuff will likely be the listing of regions for background benefits and some more gods. Most of the classes, races, and other crunch in the book will be setting neutral. The settings crunch will be in the Campaign Guide.
2) If you want the swordmage and nothing else from the book then just get a DDI subscription as the swordmage powers, class info, feats, paths, and other things will be in the rules compendium and in the character builder so you can use/play the class without owning the actual book.

Re races:
On second thought, Shifter is in FR thus less likely to be in the PH2 for the same reason as Swordmage.
So, the reconstructed list may instead be as follows ...
Races Gn.ome (!) G.o.liath (!) D.e...r H.alf-Orc (!) S.h.adar-Kai
But "D.e...r"? Any clues? An alternate name for "Good Tiefling", instead of Aasomar? Where was this confirmed? The only races mentioned for the FRPG that I know are Drow and Genasi. Just going by the cover of the PHB II, I would say the S.hifte.r is more likely as the chaacter in front of the Goliath is way too tall for a Gnome. Goliaths are large so 7'+, Gnomes top out at 3' 8" that'd like his kneecap. Which leaves D.e...., D.eva? Bel

Isn't D.o fir Doppleganger still an option? If find that most likely, though a Deva (name derived I supposed from the Great Wheel's "Astral Deva") would be a nice PC race, and good to hit up while we are still dealing with Divine heroes.

. . .there is some speculation that the new Aasimar might be in Manual of the Planes. i thought i read that new classes and races would be introduced only in PHBs and players guides (except, of course, for DDI materials).
And someone in this thread has suggested Deva as the new name for the Aasimar. moi :D

Well the thing is, that we already have an o race(Goliath) and we need to have an e and an h race. With Deva and Shifter races we cover all the bases. With Doppleganger, we need there to be 6 races to gover all the clues.

moi :D Classes are definitly that way, but I want to say that a developer said that Manual of the Planes will have a playable race in it. I can't remember where I read this or who said it. I'd try to find it, but I have a test review to get to in a few minutes. I'll see if I can find it when I get back(unless someone else would mind doing me the favor).
And thank you very much for your idea. It works very nicely with what we have.

Well it's possible that the Manual of the Planes will fall under the 'Campaign Setting' sourcebook category so would be a valid location for classes and races. After all it is a book about adventuring in the planes beyond the central trinity (though I'm sure it'll discuss those three as well).

Is it a fact that I is for Illusionist?
An inside source told me that there will be a class called the Invoker. Just putting that out there.

Seeing as Illusionist has been linked to the shadow power source, I has been speculated as being Invoker or Inquisitor depending on what T represents, if Templar than I is Invoker, if Theurge than Inquisitor. Inquisitor and Templar being strikers and Invoker and Theurge as controllers.

Anyways here is the source for there being a new playable race in the Manual of the Planes.
I’m still working on Manual of the Planes. I finished up with the monsters, and I’ll say this—there’ll be no shortage of high-level threats. The book contains 28 creatures, including 1 archdevil and 2 demon princes. The book does include a playable race, as well. Source
Say, I'm thinking of starting a thread to compile sources for all the info we have regarding the contents of the books that haven't be released yet. Would anyone actually use it if I made it or would I just be wasting my time?

So its your judgement call. When I made a similar thread regaurding classes back in pre-release, it went pretty well. That is to say, all the bull-crap threads stopped, and people posted in the thread about their questions and helped compile info.
