I'd like to see all of the rules for classes and races in the players handbook. The GM's guide shouldn't have rules that players would need to reference on a regular basis such as: starting money for higher level characters, standard prestige classes (though I wish these would go away altogether), etc.
Instead of giving tons of information about how to be a good gamemaster I'd like to see more solid content in the GM guide. If you want to school newbies on how to be better GMs then do it through your version of Dragon Magazine. The GMs guide is the perfect place for optional rules.
As for the Monster Manual I'd like to see the base creature plus three or four variants of increasing power level to make things easier on GMs. I'd also like to see magic only variants of common psionic creatures for those who don't like to use psionics in their games.

Agreed -- DMG should not have any information that should be referenced by players (after all, what's the point in calling it DMG if this will be the case?). Besides, all these DM tips and advice would indicate the 4E is marketed to an all-new consumer base.

Now this question may have already been asked, but considering that there are 61 pages so far here, I doubt anyone could blame a guy for not wanting to read through 61 pages worth of stuff just to find 1 answer.
Anyway, my question is, does anyone know if the 4th Edition core books will be released in PDF form?
Personally I prefer PDF's as they are less expensive and I only need to lug around my laptop and not 3+ books and my laptop.
