I am a level 6 druid in a steampunk world, with the enemy having large access to firearms. While Druid's arent limited on the type of weapon they can use (just armor) but I would prefer not to use such a clumsy or random weapon. Aside from heat/chill metal and rusting grasp, what other spells could my druid use to overcome this semi technical world If you dont know what steampunk is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

Well first off fire spells would ignite gunpowder.
Obscuring mist is a good way to protect oneself from snipers. Same with fog cloud.
Gust of wind gives a -4 to range attacks.
Spider climb is great to get around on buildings.
Warp wood and wood shape are great to twist the wooden parts of machines and guns.
Meld into stone is great to escape in stone/brick buildings.
Stone shape can be used o make a ceiling fall on some one (I'm guess you play in a highly urban setting).
Wind wall has a 30% change of deflecting incoming bullets.
Transmute rock to mud can turn a city street into a trap, or make ceilings fall in adversaries by «mudding» a wall or just escape a building by mudding a wall.
Tree stride can still be used if there are parks in the city.
Repel wood can repel guns with wooden hilts and such.
Stone tell can make a wall or even a stone in the street talk. That would be to the DM to judge if it is appropriate.
Transmute metal to wood can be useful. Barrels of gun who explode the first time they are used after being turn into wood. Bullets are turn into wood and explode when fired.
Earthquake is devastating in urban area and you can guess what repel metal or stone could do.
Hope it helps.
Some dude once said: "If WotC would put crap in boxes with the DnD logo on them, some people would still call it the best product WotC has made."

Level 0 spell: Create Water.
Spell description: This spell generates wholesome, drinkable water, just like clean rain water. Water can be created in an area as small as will actually contain the liquid, or in an area three times as large—possibly creating a downpour or filling many small receptacles.
If they're using flintlocks or earlier versions of firearms, just direct the water to come from directly overhead and drench 'em. :D
You might want to ask your DM if Quench could be used on firearms, as the spell could be used to target magical items/spells from utilizing their flame properties, although that might be seen as a form of metagaming (as I doubt a Druid would be intimately familiar with firearms or understand how combustion works...then again, maybe he does depending on how widespread such technology is in your world) Quench would be undeniably useful in shutting down steam engines, though.
Sleet Storm might be useful, too. Spell Description says it puts out torches and small fires, as well as obscuring vision.
Nature's Ally to summon Thoqquas could make firearm users nervous, as they're from the plane of Fire, or fire elementals for the same reason, or air elementals, using their whirlwind attack to obscure opponents.
