I really enjoy cryptozoology, and I'm sure others here do too. I am starting this thread for others to request cryptids for me to stat, as well as for others to post their cryptid stats or help me with the requests. Check here for cryptozoological data. NOTE-Please do not request non-cryptozoological entities. For mythology, check JollyRotten's thread. Otherwise, check the New Monster Request thread. I'm pretty sure he's talking about creatures such as Bigfoot/Sasquatch, abominable snowmen/yeti (but those are already statted in Frostburn, IIRC), chupacabra (in a recent Dragon), the Loch Ness monster, etc.

I don't get it. What's a cryptozoological creature?[/quote] Cryptozoology is the study of creatures that are rumoured to exist. Aka, bigfoot, chupacabra, mothman.

I present The Chupacabra: Version 1 (bestial), Version 2 (homanid), Version 3 (winged) I suggest the multiple-version method to be employed with most crytpids (creatures of cryptozoology). Eyewitness accounts of cryptids tend to vary widely, and at any suspected new species a number of folklores, rumors, and proven hoaxes converge. Case in point, some people described the chupacabra as flying with wings, as hovering/levitating, or simply hopping kangaroo-like.

About that website, is there anywhere on it that has a straightforward list and description of various cryptids?

I didn't see it on the site, but Wikipedia has a reasonably good list.

Aright.
I'm mainly trying to get some more info on the mothman, because the information about it is so weakly connected and vague. The wikipedia article has "additional examples" that list just about every other flying thing in myth, cryptozoology, or fiction.
