Not quite. The EQ (Encephalization Quotient) of certain troodontids, as well as the dinosaur Bambiraptor was 5.5. This gives a rough estimation of a creature's intelligence, but brain structure also comes into play. The deinonychosaurians (Troodontidae + Dromaeosauridae) were probably as intelligent as corvids.[/quote] Ok, but even then we are talking only the 3-4 range.

They are distinguished from all other duck-bills because they have a large horn jutting from the beck of their skull a full 3 feet. Their nasal passages run through this and allow them to create great trumpeting noises to warn others of danger or to attract mates.CombatA Parasaurolophus will usually try to escape, but if combat is imminent, it will smack attackers with its tail, putting every bit of its weight behind these awesome blows. Trample (Ex): Damage is 2d6+10 points of bludgeoning. Attacks of opportunity at a -4 penalty or Ref save for half as usual. DC 25.

This may sound a little bit cheeky, but would it be possible to get a bit of fluff material on the anoptolops ferox?
I'm not asking if you can copy out of the book, because that would be very illegal, but, is there any chance of you writing your own, so that I have a bit of a better idea how to use these guys?

After all, fluff makes the monster more than just a bunch of numbers and words on a page.

the man-raptor look really stupid. why is it that, whenever humans make a sentient ficional race, they look human? I mean, its a bit umimaginative, isnt it? from an evolutionary standpoint, why should rapors develope blunt snouts, short tails, and walk fully upright? they dont need any of that.
#Take one Velociraptor (or other maniraptor of appropriate size and brain capacity)
#rotate one claw around on the hand to form an opposable thumb.
#Increase the braincase size and complexity of the brain itself (you dont actually need a giant frontal lobe. I heard that birds (and thus possibly dionsaurs) have brains that work differently, in that they make use of the whole brain, not just the cortex, for thinking and so on, so they can fit more intelligence into a smaller brain. i could be wrong here).
thats it. you now have a viable sentient species prepaired to take the planet by storm, just as we did. they dont need to look exactly like us to be as smart as us.
