A very minor epic Suggestion should allow at least the CL check- i.e. "You will allow me to use this one ability". +20 ad hoc DC seems fair, even if he's normally immune to mind affecting abilities.

That's a pretty handy idea. What's more, I think there's some precedent in the Dicefreaks cosmology. At least one of the seduction-focused devils has an ability to bypass immunity to mind-affecting effects. I'll try looking it up and posting the ability.
[EDIT] Leviathan, Semyaza, and Fierana all have such abilities.

Or you could cut the dicking around and just hit him with a save-or-die.

Hitting him with a SoD spell would probably have no effect due to his temporal mastery. The idea I'm proposing would possibly nullify that, using a being that is, in its own way, just as temporally adept as he is.

All you need to do is get the drop on him and then one-shot him.

Or you could cut the dicking around and just hit him with a save-or-die. Because the legion of siege crabs would feel sad if they didn't get to use their death rays! You're probably right in all seriousness, but saves of Fort +48, Ref +47, and Will +54 are nothing to sneeze at. You likely have use a powerful malison effect first.

Is Merorem's immunity to mind-affecting stuff an advantage that vanishes with some help from a handy antimagic field? If so, hit him with one of those and hit him with a huge bluff check, which can at epic levels duplicate Suggestion easily. No I just wait my idea to be shot down.

If so, hit him with one of those and hit him with a huge bluff check, which can at epic levels duplicate Suggestion easily. No I just wait my idea to be shot down. I believe that since the immunity to mind-affecting effects comes from being an archdevil, it should be classified as a supernatural ability. Thus, I think that antimagic would nullify it.
And hey, it gives you a chance to ask for Anti-Anti-antimagic Field from the "1001 silly spells" thread
Anti-Anti-antimagic Field Abjuration Level: Clr 9, Magic 8, Protection 8, Sor/Wiz 8 Components: V, S, M Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level) Effect: 10-ft.-radius field Duration: 1 round/level Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: See text
You generate a stationary, invisible field of reinforced anti-magic. All spells, spell-like abilities etc, are negated, including spells inside an anti-anti magic field. An anti-antimagic field fails to suppress an anti-anti-antimagic field. A mage's disjunction can dispel an anti-anti-antimagic field, but he may become confused as to what he is dispelling at this point.

They're quite easy to sneeze at. You only need a 75 DC.

I disagree. They're quite easy to sneeze at. You only need a 75 DC. It's very important to keep the crab's feelings in mind. They're having a grand old time stomping around, knocking down houses, and sweeping their death rays (one for each of four claws) over the swarms of devils running around like somewhat disoriented ants. Then some joker sweeps in and upstages them by actually doing the job they came for. You might take out D-dawg (as my sorceror calls him) only to find yourself embroiled in a sudden crab uprising! They might go so far as to demand wages and healthcare (finding a doctor for someone who looks like http://wizards.com/dnd/images/mmiii_gallery/83053.jpg, but demonic can be quite tricky at times)!
However, if you have an idea as to where I can get 4 million DC 75 disintegration cannons suitable for combat spacecraft at very little cost, then I'll definitely consider it.
I have three ideas, but all of them rely on actually knowing the diplomacy rules currently in use.
