With great sadness, I am writing this post to inform the community that WizO Kayn has passed away. She has been a part of this community for many years - she started out in the former ISRP chat area, she became a Moderator for Avalon Hill, and later she became a WizO for all of the community. She always had a great affection for this community and it showed in her kind and helpful manner. She loved all things to do with gaming, especially free-form role playing, muds, and the Wheel of Time series. She was a wonderful person, a great co-worker, and a friend. We will miss her dearly.

Kayn appeared on my radar only a few months ago, but every message she sent, whether in PM or in a thread, was warm and supportive.
Is there a way of passing along our sympathy to her family? Is it possible (if even appropriate) to share with us what happened?
P.S. I would also suggest changing the header to read "Passing of WizO Kayn", so that folks might have a better idea of what they are going to learn. Many who are unfamiliar with her might think this is an introduction thread.
Here are the PHB Essentia, in my opinion: - Three Basic Rules (p 11)
- Power Types and Usage (p 54)
- Skills (p178-179)
- Feats (p 192)
- Rest and Recovery (p 263)
- All of Chapter 9 [Combat] (p 264-295)
A player needs to read the sections for building his or her character -- race, class, powers, feats, equipment, etc. But those are PC-specific. The above list is for everyone, regardless of the race or class or build or concept they are playing.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Obviously, I didn't really know her, but from her activity as a moderator she seemed kind, fair, and cheerful even in the face of other people acting like jerks. My sincerest condolences to her friends and family members.

Condolences to the family. I don't remember much from when she was in ISRP years ago. I may have talked to her once or twice.
RIP wizo_kayn

My condolensces to Kayn's family and friends. I hadn't had the honor of meeting nor chatting with her but from what I've heard she'll be a great loss to the community.

Very sad news to hear.
As a regular-turned-lurker from the time that the ISRP was still affiliated with Wizards, I've informed the ISRP community over at EnWorld of this thread, and provided them with a link. Though I didn't know her personally and only interacted with her a handful of times in those years, she will be sorely missed.
On behalf of the ISRP community, I'd like to extend our condolences to her family and friends. Hopefully some who knew her better will come forth and offer a more fitting tribute than I could provide.

Eep. Least she's going to good company. I bet she's rolling up a Paladin to run through the New Tomb of Horrors with Gary right now.
