Creature Competition: Dragons Selecting the Talent ============================================ Week 1 (06/27/2006 - 07/04/2006)Gan the Rusty: Pseudodragon WizardAs a little hatchling, Gan was small, even for a pseudodragon. His wings were crumpled, his body was weak, his stinger was small. However, Gan was smart. He was a good deal smarter than every other pseudodragon in his massive extended family. Thus, Gan soon found himself eligible for a scholarship to the Mordenkainen Magical University. Once there, he buried himself in his studies, but for a few rather crazy nights out. Unfortunately, no one would offer the prodigiously bright pseudodragon a job, so Gan undertook standard dragon activities: lair, hoard, princess-capturing, etc.; with his illusions and transmutations, he took the appearance of a massive red dragon (Gan is too nice to really hurt people, but still enjoys gold, princesses, and playing the role of a villain to the hilt). --The Amazing Dancing Bear VSYarzasi-Korin: Spellwarped Rust DragonHatched upon the iron battlefields of Acheron, Yarzasi-Korin's first taste of metal was an enchanted blade. From that first meal of magic, the rust dragon came to disdain all mundane ore. As he has grown in power, his hunger for magic has become so great that he craves it above all else. Yarzasi-Korin seeks only the choicest items and most sumptuous magical flavors to satisfy his palate. To this end, he battles the greatest spellcasters amongst Acheron's endless wars, challenging opponents of any species or allegiance to a test of mystic mettle. To his delight, he finds the arrogance of his fellow wyrms more than capable of providing an unintended feast... -- Slagger the Chuul ================================================= MJ

Meh. So the Pseudodragon turned out to be one I'm not fond of - surprise surprise. Oh well. This week I'm a little biased (*cough*), but I voted for Aryntaranasara. A Dracolich Sorceress - how can you not like a classic like that ? Zevox

So, when are we going to get to the "oddballs" category? I mean, I know I'm the only one who suggested a Stone Drake, but... (Of course, if there's a Stone Drake category, I therefore WIN and go on to the tournament! ... Where I will die a horrible death at the hands of that CR 99 monstrosity... :raincloud )

I hope we get to the "unaltered dagons" or "landwyrms" category soon. Rakhnesstorix will CLEAN UP.

Ack! I forgot to post info on my dragon. I wonder if I could go back and edit the dragon entry I have so that he actually has a story, and if WotC guys would actually see it/use it.

I would have to say my favorite is Daer'Shalindrel, I've always had a soft spot for black dragons. Hope Daer'Shalindrel goes far.

I think the winner shall be Arilasadetonima, the Silver Dragon Dracolich. The other ones are all more or less power angry evil dragons, who commited the worse evil imaginable for the sake of power. Arilasadetonima's only wish is to protect her subjects. Rather original!

Any Dracolich with the sense to set their phylactery inside the dephs of magma surrounded by brutal fire-based monsters and iron golems gets my vote. That it has his prosthetic heart and is made out of scales is a plus.

Any way we can get stats/info on these guys? They'd make great antagonists in a campaign; and I'm planning on starting one soon.
I'm still mulling over my choice; SO MANY GOOD ONES!!
