mm75 – You are correct, sir.

Greymoire – the new text for Hero of the People should be:

Hero of the People
10V
4 9|10
{Shield}: Glory 2 – Score +2 conquest points this turn.
{B}: Exile – If target local enemy becomes disrupted this combat, you may place it in an occupied nonlocal cell.

Sorry Greymoire, there's one more little change:

Grand Hive
Hiveling
3FFF
LOCATION
You may spawn  Hiveling creatures in this cell. (You can't break the stacking limit with this ability.)
Gargantuan – The Hive counts as 3 miniatures toward your warband's 16-miniature limit.
Rare

Had to add the "stacking limit" clause to the ability.

First let me say that Hiveling and corpsebuilt are the 2 bands that I have benn concentrating on for tournament play since I started playing DBM. Anvilborn made the CB bands competitive at tourney level and NF killed them for tournament play. I am still working on a Hiveling band with the goal of building a "pure" i.e. hiveling pieces only so that I field the first competitive lineage band. Sadly, that will not happen in all probability now. Anyway, Hiveling has a lot to overcome in some areas like mobility and ranged strikes, but it's 2 strengths so far are lowered costs and the ability to run an 18 piece band. This is a long-winded way of saying I just don't see using the grand hive ever in my band. I know it's spawning ability is superior to Arch of Triumph, but to me at least it is not worth giving up 2 minis in my band. I might try it for 1 extra, i.e. it counts as 2 minis, but not 3.

If you play with 3 [dbm=omen locust]Omen Locusts[/dbm] and 1 Grand Hive, then you still have a 16-miniature band. If you have [dbm]Queen Chrysota[/dbm] on the board, you basically use the Hive for free (+1 cost per mini for the Hive, –1 for [dbm=queen chrysota]Chrysota[/dbm]). Hiveling actually was already pretty competitive in tournament play after Anvilborn, it's just that the majority of tournament players either tested pretty exclusive with each other (and therefore had the same band) OR netdecked those players who had tested extensively. The "stagnation" of the metagame was purely the fault of the players who only wanted to use what Dreaming Dragons, The Redcap Council, or Dream Elysium came up with.

Anyway, give the Grand Hive a try and see. Maybe it isn't for you, but maybe it will surprise you. Heck, you can drop it in a cell where you have a lone engaged creature and pump 3 more creatures into an immediate combat. I think it could be better than you are giving it credit for.

Also, I am interested in your thoughts about how NIGHT FUSION killed Corpsebuilt-based bands. Surely one piece with [dbm=runner with scissors]Cleanse[/dbm] can't ruin the whole archetype. And [dbm=kendra vale]Kendra[/dbm] eats anything if you aren't ready for her, but Corpsebuilt, with it's tougher-than-average creatures, seems the best suited to handle her.

Two more small changes (the miniature lists at the beginning of this thread have been edited to reflect these changes):

Earwig
Hiveling
11MMM
4     2|16
{B}: Burrow – If target enemy would be disrupted, you may instead take control of that creature until the end of the turn. (You can't break the stacking limit with this ability.)
Rare

Added (You can't break the stacking limit with this ability.)
-----

Aggrocopter

Intercept Drive – At the beginning of your spawn phase, move this creature one cell closer to the ally with the lowest life.
{5), {X}: Strafe – Make a 6-power attack on X target local enemies.
Common

Added target to Strafe ability.

I vote we all start calling Faceless Sniper "Rahim"

It's sooooooo insane. I just bring them out, and they lock up cells when they're alone most of the time, obviously because unless your opponent has 7+ dice in that cell, there's no way they'll attack it, for fear of its awesomeness. Nice Design, Scud!
