Su'cuy gar! Welcome back to GarNau'ur Kad te Adate (or You Build the Character for those of you who don't speak Mando'a).
This month, put on your helmet, strap on your jetpack and grab the biggest weapon you can find. We're going Mandalorian. Your challenge is to build a Mandalorian character - barbarian, crusader, supercommando, protector, doesn't matter. You can even build one of those peace-loving New Mandalorians if it takes your fancy.
You can even enter multiple times, provided you follow the rules below.
You have until 11.59pm (PT) on Thursday 31 January to post your RPG stats, and any notes you want to post explaining your decisions. Once submissions have closed, all forum members will have until 11.59pm (PT) on Thursday 14 February to vote for their favourite. Whichever build receives the most votes will win.
The prize for winning is having your stats enshrined in the YBtC Hall of Fame, as well as the bragging rights.
The following rules apply to all submissions:
All builds must be created according to RAW, with no house rules (no single Athletics skill, no bonus feats for bloodlines etc).
You may use "unlimited" point buy for ability scores, provided each score is between 3 and 18 at first level (before racial and age adjustments).
You are free to use material from all official Saga Edition books, up to and including The Unknown Regions.
You may enter more than once. An entry can consist of up to three characters. Each individual forum post containing stat blocks counts as an entry unless otherwise specified.
You may not enter more than one set of stats for the same character.
You may not enter a character who has already been the subject of their own competition.
When creating stat blocks, use the species traits from official WotC sources. If a species never received official stats, you may create your own, but make sure to include them with your stat block.
You may change your stats at any point up until submissions close, at which point any edited stats will be disqualified.
Have fun everyone, and may the Force be with you. Or should I say, nar dralshy'a.
Josh Cheesman - journalist and Star Wars fan.
Visit the YBtC Hall of Fame to see the winners of the Praxeum's regular You Build the Character competitions.

First, an experience from a game I played in a few years back. Our DM didn't like 3.5 as a whole but liked parts of it. So he hands us a big ass rules packet for his modified FR campaign, complete with quotes from important NPC's on the front. I can't remember most of the HRs, just that some how gods like Cyric and Bhaal existed at the same time, despite the obvious problems there. In the end the game became a problem more because of the railroading than the HRs, but it ended with this classic line, after our ranger tried to disarm the strange woman following us WITH HIS BOW: DM: You just killed (insert random noble sounding name here) JP: Was she important? Jack: Dude, she's quoted on the front of the rules packet!

Cut the last encounter on your way out after dealing with the Darth. He's the BBEG. Treat him as such. Play up that Darth Revan is THAT much of a badarse. When the shuttle landed, I had no less than 13 JEDI MASTERS step off the shuttle. The PCs were slack-jawed. After the meetup with Bastila (as she's carrying Revan's body), only TWO jedi masters remained with her. Let me tell you, the player whining about not getting to fight Revan himself shut up pretty quickly when he saw that.

Shae Vizla was a Human Mandalorian female who lived during the Great Galactic War and the subsequent Cold War that resulted from the peace established between the two warring factions, the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. Working as a bounty hunter, Vizla was often employed by the Sith Empire, who made use of her martial skills when undertaking the most risk-intensive missions. Shae Vizla was part of the Imperial force charged with attacking theplanet of Alderaan, and later launched a strike on a Republic political envoy. During the assault, Vizla's brother was killed by the Jedi Master Aurei Eadon, and Vizla subsequently developed an intense hatred for the Jedi Order. When the Empire elected to mobilize an attack on the galactic capital world of Coruscant, Vizla was contracted to disable the planet's defense grid, located within the Jedi Temple. In conjunction with a frontal assault by the Sith Lord Darth Malgus, Vizla infiltrated the Temple, proceeding to kill several members of the Temple Security Force during the resultant battle between the assailing Sith warriors and the defending Jedi Knights. She successfully completed her mission to disable the defense grid, allowing Darth Angral's Sith armada to strike at Coruscant, and when the attack was over and the Jedi defeated, Vizla briefly lingered until receiving the professional approval of Lord Malgus. She then utilized her jetpack to fly away from the Temple.

Build Notes:
Most of the build is fairly self explanitory, representing things she did in the assault on the Jedi Temple. However, I will explain a few points of interest. The Force Blank talent (in addition to training in Stealth) is used to represent her ability to sneak into the Jedi Temple without being noticed. Her training in Use Computer allows her to disable Coruscant's defense grid. I thought Martial Arts I represented her Mandalorian heritage fairly well, and it allows her to add a level of elite trooper too. Finally, Advantageous Attack, Ambush, and Strafe were chosen to fit her particular fighting style.

Submisiom Number One: Mandalorian Jedi Battlemaster.
Not even a in-story character, just me combinding my two favorite things in Star Wars: Jedi and Mandalorians.
This is a armored to the teeth, armed to the teeth Jedi Master. A master of Juyo and Soresu (Forms III and VII) and wearing real Beskar'gam armor, this one Jedi that is insanly hard to kill. High defenses combinded with Force Fortification and Soresu mean that if he cant block or deflect it, he take it very lightly. He excels at multi-person combat, but his true power is in a 1-on-1 duel. Great late campaign boss or NPC ally.
