Oh it's no problem...my fault entirely for not posting about it.  I reached a point where I just started focusing on filling out the Word document, and posting every little stat block here was slowing me down.  I really scoured Wookieepedia for every creature on Dathomir.  While there's probably some Wook entry somewhere for some creature that mentions Dathomir that may have failed to make it into the .pdf, I think I did a fairly thorough job.  There are definitely many, many more creatures in the final product than there are in arupa's initial list -- maybe, like two dozen creatures or so.

That sounds impressive! However there are at least 42 different creatures from Dathomir in the Wookieepedia. The list say 44, but there are at least 2 doubles. Also most of the different types of Rancor may already have stats somewhere, but there should be almost 40 other creatures on that list. Any of them missing so far? Maybe someone can help make the stats? I'm not saying all of them have to be in the guide though, just that there are more the 3 dozen to be found on the list above.

What is the verdict on my Chain Sickles by the way? Any one of them made the cut?

That said, your stat blocks are probably more thought-out than mine, and done with more care (since I was handling a lot of animal stat blocks at once), so I'll just replace my stats with yours for those creatures.  I've got plenty of my own material in the .pdf, so I'm happy to include more of your stuff, given how good it always is.

I'm just glad folks are still eager to contribute to this project.  I'm eager to present it to you all, and I'll be proud to add it to the sourcebooks in my .sig.

I look forward to seeing your beast statblocks. Some of them had such a small entry in Wookieepedia that I couldn't make a  statblock out of it. For example, a Wookieepedia description of one beast might be: "This was a large beast that lived on Dathomir." How the heck do I make a statblock out of that? I need more info!

I know, but we had a request in another thread to make the Chain Sickle more on par with the Wan-Chen Disc-Blade and other special weapons used by other force traditions. No one is questioning that your stats are great. I even used your stats as a benchmark for what I wanted for the Chain Sickle.

However the request in that thread was to make this weapon from an existing weapon with the help of any uppgrades, templates or whatevere was needed to portray the Chain Sickle within existing rules. Of course that hade to be done by altering the apearence and the name of the weapon that I started out with, but using the rules and stats of that weapon. One problem is that these upgraded weapons are very expensive, but at least it shows what abilities can be added in within the rules.

One problem with the talents above is that they seem to imply that you can make grapple or grab attacks with the Chain Sickle, but that was taken out to balance the weapon. That makes at least one of the talents useles as it depend on said ability...

Yes.  I underestimated how many beasts I put in the .pdf.  There are 45 beasts in there (some are variants of other creatures, like the many rancors).

The jury is still deliberating, but you'll be the first to know.  My personal preference is to use as little homebrewed stuff, and as much RAW as possible.

Yes, brother.  I'm happy to announce that your version of the "Powerful Chain Sickle" is going to be the official stats for the Chain Sickle in the Dathomir Field Guide.  I'm glad we -- well, you -- finally managed to make a RAW version of it that worked so well for us.  Batshido and I did agree, however, that one slight edit was necessary:

Availability: Rare
Special: This weapon grants the wielder a +1 equipment bonus on attack rolls.
Notes: The Chain Sickle is a reach weapon, granting reach 2. If the attack roll is over the damage threshold, the target moves one step down the condition track due to the poison applied to the weapon. This weapon can be used to pin or trip without actually having those featsA wielder with the Pin or Trip feat may use that feat with this weapon.

Thanks, MERC_1!
So, as soon as I finish the index, the Dathomir Field Guide should be up on my MediaFire account, with a link to it in this thread.  Please stand by...

It is my great pleasure to present to my fellow gamers the

(Click the image to download)

In the vein of (but hopefully better than) my Centrality Guide and Gazetteer, the Corporate Sector Sourcebook I did with Jindy, and the many other Saga Edition sourcebooks I compiled for the community, the Dathomir Field Guide .pdf is 67 fun-filled pages of information (fluff) about Dathomir and a whole lot of crunch, including new species, new weapons (made as much with RAW modifications as possible), Talents, Feats, Force Powers, equipment, allies, adversaries, beasts and so on.  I hope you, the gaming community, enjoy it.

And many thanks to all who contributed, in this thread and otherwise.

Nicely done! You put a lot of work into compiling this. Just a tiny note: It seems the text and pictures on page 28 got merged together, making the text difficult to read. It's not really important though.

Thanks for the catch, rb10!  I fixed it, re-uploaded it to MediaFire, and adjusted the link in the above post and in my .sig.

Wow, this is great, Robshanti. Thank you so much.  The final version is like a quantum leap better than the one you sent me.  This is really going to help me in my campaign. And it's cool to see my name in the credits!
