First of, i would like to say i love playing Star Wars Saga. Its a great game, with so many interesting features. Okey, now the question. In my latest campaign i play miraluka noble. My friend has stealth generator. First question is: I roll 1 on my perception, my friend rolls 20 on stealth and turns on stealth generator and is standing right next to me. As a miraluka can i still "see" him through the "force" even though i failed my spot check? In the description for miralukas it claims that they ignore cover and concealment, and stealth generator grants just that, but apparently you do not need cover or concealment to hide? Its confusing for me Second question: Can a Miraluka "look" through my personal electro binoculars? I dont have eyes!

If you failed the Perception check you will not see your friend. A Miraluka may get to ignore the penalty normally applied by cover/concealment but the opponent can still make the checks and you can fail them.
It seems that a Miraluka's "blindness" is just in certain circumstances otherwise they are treated like any other sighted creature. This means they could look through electro binoculars.

You could be day dreaming or maybe not really paying attention to your surroundings. A person can make a stealth check and you could fail your perception check even if they are out in the open (it's obviously easier to hide with cover/concealment but not a necessity). There have been times when I have looked up only to see a bus I was waiting for getting ready to pass my stop because I was distracted by something or other. The bus wasn't hiding per se but I would have failed my perception checks when it was, say, 90 feet away from me.

Thanks for answers. But i feel they do not make much sense. If you are waiting for a bus, and are distracted you "can" miss it. But if you are in a battlefield and there are angry gammoreans waiting to jump you, you cant miss a dude with a rifle standing next to you. That sort of thing does not happen to heroic characters. Also, how do i "look" through an electro binoculars?? Visual presentation please? SW Saga is a great game, but sometimes it has "unfinished" feel about it. I need to be able to blend in with my character, and somehow Miraluka feel half finished. Also, another question, can Miraluka spot a force sensetive without a roll? Fluff in books suggests they can, but i cant find anything of the sort in the Saga books.

A Miraluken's force sight allows them to read a computer screen and functions just like normal sight except for the specific rules in KotOR. So they can see through binoculars just like they can see computer screen read outs and holograms. The game and the books do not always parallel each other. Sometimes the game has to give way for the sake of balance between various factors of playability. If you want a Miralukan that can see if a person is Force Sensitive or not just take the Gauge Force Potential talent in the core book. While this may or may not satisfy your need for some real world applications please remember that this is a game based on the space opera genre. In space opera you don't need to have a rational or scientific explanation for everything you just go along with it.

You know something, looking in my copy of the SECR it seems you do NOT need Cover or Concealment to make a Stealth check to "sneak" so while it may not be "hiding" in the strictest sense you can still going unnoticed. Normally having Cover or Concealment makes that a little easier but while a Miraluka may not get bothered by that it still may not register.

Eh...it's one of those "hidden" rules. See page 158 in the SECR: "You can use cover to make a stealth check. Without cover, you usually need concealment to make a stealth check." So while you don't need cover or concealment to Sneak, your opponent does need to be unaware of you and that can only happen if you're already sneaking or if you're behind cover/concealment. However, the Miraluka's Force Sight is worded kinda funny so I'd leave it up to your GM how to rule it, but generally I would play it that a Miraluka ignores concealment and cover for all purposes except for determining LOS for ranged attacks/Force powers. So it's pretty hard to sneak up on a Miraluka unless you're a Yuuzhan Vong

I should have known it was around there somewhere.
Now even if it is there I'd just say that a Miraluka gets to ignore the penalty caused by Cover/Concealment but just removing the penalty does NOT remove the Cover/Concealment. Maybe it's illogical but you can still have Cover/Concealment and hide from a Miraluka even if it doesn't provide any additional benefits.
I'd have to do a little looking again but I seem to recall a starship system that lets you make Sneak Checks even if the target has LOS to you while it does NOT provide a bonus to rolls either way.

Thanks for imput everyone. It really helped my character immersion. My GM invented his own versions of miraluka vision, that nerfs stealth. Generaly within 30 squares i can see everything that isn't in complete cover or concealment. But generaly, my character cannot always determine what is it that he sees and i need to roll perception checks to determine if it is a threat. It helps out when i KNOW the enemy is around here somewhere and against supprises , but its almost usless in a city or anywhere with alot of friendlies or neutrals.
