Okay, I’ve spent a lot of time brainstorming and researching and I think I have a pretty good set of missions for the battle of endor campaign. Initially, I wanted to do a huge battle, but I found that for most of us, we just don’t have enough ships to play a battle royale type scenario.
Below is a list of missions and the basic goals of each fleet. Note that some scenarios give bonuses to fleets. I’m looking for feedback on all aspects of this. Please let me know what you think.
Imperials start out with Reserve rolls being +1.
MISSIONS:1- It's a Trap (Maneuver scenario only, no combat. LS turns away from DSII, DS moves behind LS)
2- Fighters Coming In (LS and DS fighters fight it out)
3- (If DS Wins #2) Fighter Assault (DS fighters attack LS warships -Corellian Corvettes, Medium Transports, Nebulon-Bs)
4-(If LS Wins #2) Bombing Run (B-wings attack an ISD)
5-They're Heading For the Medical Frigate (LS protects a Nebulon B, DS attacks with fighters)
6-Yes! I Said Closer! (LS moves in close to DS fleet. DSII can fire every two or three turns, but only if direct line of sight between "superlaser" and target. Once all LS ships are destroyed or mixed with DS fleet, scenario ends)
7- Target The Communications Ship (LS engages a modified ISD. DS Defends. If DS loses, they lose the reserve bonus)
8- Skirmish (One ISD vs one MC80. Fighters included, or maybe LS gets small cap ship)
9- Protect Home One (DS fighters swarm Home One, LS Defends) If DS wins, Home One is reduced the rest of this campaign until destroyed - Roll to see if DSII Sheild is down
10- Rebel Stand (LS fleet of Class 3s engage an ISD. No fighters?) - Roll to see if DSII Sheild is down
11- Red Three, Red Two, Pull In (LS and DS fighters engage through the battle field. Set up capital ships like terrain. These ships may not move, shoot, or be targeted) - Roll to see if DSII Sheild is down
IF THE DSII SHIELD FALLS:12a- Concentrate All Fire On That Super Star Destroyer (Rebel Fleet vs Executor) IF LS Wins, Executor is removed from campaign and LS is initiative +1, if not ship is at reduced strength in 14a or 15a
13a- Red Group, Gold Group, All Fighters Follow Me (LS flies into DSII to destroy it, DS follows *Map to be created*) If LS wins, DSII is dead and play 14a, otherwise, DSII may fire at rebel ships during retreat, and will destroy Endor. Play 15a
14a- (If LS wins 13a) Mopping Up (Major Fleet Battle- LS attempts to destroy DS while DS tries to escape) If LS wins, campaign is complete with a major LS Victory. If DS wins, play 15a.
15a- All Craft Prepare to Retreat (The imperials are just too much. The rebels must fight through the imperial fleet, destroy the Interdictor, and escape. At the same time, a last ditch fighter assault on DSII -Play 14a at same time- If LS escapes and destroys DSII, it is a solid victory for the LS. if LS destroys DSII, but does not escape, it is a narrow victory. If the LS escapes, but does not destroy DSII, campaign is a draw. If LS fails to escape and fails to destroy DSII, it is a solid victory for the DS.
IF DSII SHIELD REMAINS UP:12b Concentrate All Fire On The Command Ship (DS tries to take out Home One. Home One has support ships. LS Tries to defend) If DS wins, Home One may not be used in any further battles. If LS Wins, gains an additional support ship in future battles)
13b Concentrate All Fire On That Super Star Destroyer (Rebel Fleet vs Executor) IF LS Wins, Executor is removed from campaign and LS is initiative +1, if not ship is at reduced strength in 14b or 15b
14b Mopping Up (Major Fleet Battle- DS attempts to destroy LS while LS tries to escape and destroy an interdictor) If DS wins, campaign is complete with a major DS Victory. If LS wins, play 15b.
15b- Our Most Desperate Hour (LS attempts to escapte the DS blockade. DS attempts to destroy all LS ships. DSII shield finally falls, and a small fighter force attacks in a last ditch effort) If LS destroys DSII, then rebel and Imperial fleets are automatically destroyed. The campaign ends in a draw. If the LS escapes, but fails to destroy DSII, it is a narrow victory for the DS. If the LS fails to escape, and fails to destroy DSII, it is a solid victory for the DS

Battle of Endor Campaign
Battle 1: It’s a Trap!
The rebels have just come out of hyperspace and realized the Death Star’s shields are up.
LS Goal- Turn the core of your fleet around before it collides with the Death Star’s shield. (Certain initiative goal rolls must be met to turn ships away)
DS Goal- Move your fleet behind the rebels. (Move ships into a specific formation before the rebels completely turn their fleet around).
If the rebels win, they get more ships in the final battle and gain a class 1-4 command counter. If all B-Wings survive, additional squadron in later scenario.
If the empire wins, all ships are in position (otherwise ships will have side arcs facing the rebels) and win initiative for the first two or three turns in the next mission.
**This is a maneuver scenario only, with no combat. This mission will be optional.
Approximate size: LS will have Home One, one MC80 cruiser, 2 Nebulon B, 1 Corellian Corvette, 3 Medium Transports, 3 each of X-Wings and Y-Wings, 2 each of A-Wings and B-Wings.
DS Fleet will be comparable and consist of Executor, one or two ISDs, two Interdictors, 2 Lambdas, various TIEs.
Battle 2: Fighters Coming In
The fighters of both fleets clash in the middle of the battlefield.
Fleets of capital ships will be lined up just off the edge of the game mat, but are really only for looks. They do not fire or move
LS Goal- Destroy the Imperial fighters and move to the empire’s end of the game mat
DS Goal- Destroy the rebel fighters and move ships to the rebel end of the game map.
** DS TIE’s are not infinite and are ½ price. All fighters start on the game map, not onboard a capital ship.
If the rebels win, the imperials have less fighters in future battles, and rebels reserve rolls are +1. Falcon may be used in future missions.
If the empire wins, the rebels will have less fighters in future battles and certain ships may have some damage at the start of future scenarios.
Approximate size: Both fleets will have two rows worth of fighters of various types. LS will include the Falcon.
** I am also looking into using fleet commanders, etc. Some ideas I have thus far are as follows:
Palpatine- Will give entire DS fleet +1 attack due to battle meditation. Only killed if DSII is destroyed. Once killed, in addition to the +1 bonus being taken away, the DS ships suffer -1 Attack to represent the "fog" of being disconnected so suddenly from the battle med.
Ackbar- Once per battle (or campaign?) will allow for all ships to "concentrate fire" on a single enemy target. For each ship after the first to target the same enemy, the ships are +1 damage (EG: LS ship 1 is +0 damage, LS ship 2 is +1 damage, LS ship 3 is +2 damage, etc.). Killed only if Home One is destroyed.
Mon Mothma- LS is initiative +2. Only killed if Home One is destroyed.
I'm also looking into Lando and or Wedge giving a bonus on the DSII run, and Piett doing... something...
Any other ideas?
