Is there a PDF anywhere of the Starship Battles rules? My son just came across my ships, and would like to play, but I can't find my rulebook for the life of me... Or are they at least posted any where?
Thanks!

hmmm. Used to be one on the wizards site here, but i can't find it anymore... I'll keep looking.
My unofficial SSB Website4-14-10 Uploaded the Base Pack of stat cards for Desperate Encounters. These cards are for the 60 stock SSB Models, making them compatible with DE. Coming Soon: DE: Reputations. Reputations in battle are earned, not given... An expansion pack containing stat cards for unique fighter squadrons, unique versions of stock SSB ships, and generic versions of unique SSB ships.

I've been looking, but I still haven't been able to find the rules online.

There is a PDF version of the checklist and quick rules guide here: dantooine.hardscribble.net/index.php?opt...It's not the full set of rules, but can be useful. Starter sets have been appearing at Target stores for $20 although that won't help either if you already bought the starter and just lost the rules.

Thanks for the link, but the rules are VERY abbreviated.
I'd love to pick up another starter set for $20, but so far my Target's are out of them. :-(

I can understand WOTC not being able to renew the liscensing with Lucasfilms, but to drop all support of a former product seems...spiteful.
To be honest, it makes me rethink future purchases from this company.

WOTC dropped this game a year or two ago. The game did not sell very well (or at least as well as expected, possibly due to the economy) and so they never made another set.
They still support this game in the fact that they left these forums up for years after, even though they are pretty much dead now... And they had all the SSB resources up for years after they stopped producing the game.
All of this was BEFORE any issue with licensing came about.
WOTC did a solid job of supporting this game. It was just a bad game to begin with, having to simplistic a rule set to be appealing to any group of gamers besides young kids and parents of young kids (for the most part).
The economy killed this game, and others such as wizkids pocket models...
And I thank WOTC for supporting SSB as long as they did.
Get your facts before you accuse WOTC of being spiteful.
