In more general terms, I'd like to see character cards that enhance ships (an Ackbar for Home One, for example). Or a Jedi pilot that allows a Jedi fighter to use the force.

1) advanced rules options (several good ideas have been presented on these boards- command cards, scenerios, range modifiers, etc; any of those could be incorporated)
2) ground-based variants (new ground maps, AT-STs, turbloasers, AT-ATs, AT-TEs, maybe some aerial ships like snow speeder and republic gunship, and maybe some cardboard tokens for troops and objective points)
3) new ships:
Z-95 Headhunter
TIE Defender
TIE Scout
Gthroc Freighter
Otoma / generic YT-2000
ANY generic freighters and/or fighters
Victory-class Star Destroyer
Trade Federation landing craft
Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser
Imperial Star Destroyer (yes, I know we already them, but they're too hard to get! Make this one a unique if you have to)
E-Wing
Imperial Landing craft
Scimitar assault bomber
V-19 Torrent (from the Clone Wars cartoon)
Republic gunship (yeah, I know it's not space-worthy, but they're cool as heck)
