This was answered at Gencon so let's make each of our limited number of questions really count.
(There are no plans for another huge set in what Rob is working on and he's 16 months ahead, so Feb 2010. He's keeping a list of potential huges he likes and if there's enough compelling content there may be a huge set at some time after that.) Did he address something along the lines of a Battle of Hoth pack in the future? There are very few huges I would like to see made and they are important pieces from the movie such as the AAT. Maybe with the revamping of the line we could see a Battle of Naboo with an exclusive piece such as that. Info along this line is what I was trying to convey.

He said there was a good chance they would do such a thing again in the future, but offered no further details.
It sounded kind of like it was more dependent on the brand and buyer side rather than design (but this sentence is pretty deep into speculative territory.)

That's good news, Ulic. Thanks for helping set that up.
I have a few:
Are there going to be more species from the RPG represented in the minis within the sets of 2009 (ie Cathar/Arkanian/Ki-Adi-Mundi's species)? I have players in my RPG who don't have a good character to represent them.
Please explain the playtesting process for new Star Wars Minatures sets.
Please give a general overview of how you think this game will play in terms of changing and/or new mechanics by the end of 2009, based on design efforts.
Earlier this year, the map packs were slated to be released around the same time as the Clone Wars set. At GenCon, it was announced they would be delayed until April of next year. What is the reason for this?
Speaking of delays, just about every SW game product these days tends to get delayed. Other WotC games don't see this sort of problem with meeting schedule deadlines. I'm not referring to things like The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide, where outside events beyond WotC's control caused the delay, but products such as A&E, or the more recent KotoR set. Why does this happen, and is there anything that can be done to get the products out on the announced date?
Again, thanks to Ulic, and especially to Sarah and Rob for being willing to answer questions from the community. :D

Please explain the playtesting process for new Star Wars Minatures sets. :D The recent pile of female characters in the game has been nice, but I agree that it would be nice to see some new species represented.
Also, is there a formula for costing SWM? The customs forum would love to get their hands on that.

Ah, the age-old question. I'm pretty sure they buried the formula with Gleemax RIP. I know, but it cant really hurt to ask can it? The worst that could happen is that they either dont answer the question or say its a secret.

But I agree, there's no harm in asking. :D

Except that it's one less question that can be dedicated to something else we don't already know the answer to...
There's no formula, secret or otherwise. They're costed based on comparison to other figures, playtesting, and then fudged a bit for a variety of reasons. (Some examples, Stormies were reduced a point so they see more play. Melee characters have been reduced in price once because they weren't generally competetive, and again when the mispriced JWM was set as the new baseline cost becasue it turned out to be priced just about right to be competetive with shooters.)

I don't know about this... was Obi-wan Padawan costed against a JWM? I haven't been finding the new melee pieces to be any more competitively costed than before. The Vaders are still playable, but are any others top tier since AE was released? Are there any Kota, VSA, Maris, Draay, Shado Vao, or Luke Jedi squads in the top 10?
Sorry to get off topic.
Question: Will we ever see a 100 pt piece? (Large or smaller)
