I posted this in another thread, but I just wanted to make certain that a brilliant piece of artwork got some positive feedback. A good friend of mine, who possesses a tremendous gift for creating 3-D portraits has done a number of fantasy and sci-fi pieces for me in the past year. I commissioned this piece to represent the evil Inquisitor Draco, whom I felt was not done justice by the picture contained in the Queen of Air and Darkness module. Please let me know what you think...or even better, let Jeff know. All credit goes to jeff@asgardnorth.com ... His website is http://www.asgardnorth.com

I agree, the pic on the third installment of Draco... It was poorly done. This one is much better. Good job!

I like it a lot!
Sorry but the illustrator who paints the illus in the DoD series isn't very good. All NPCs look to "nice".
I like this version much better!

Although it was not the original intention of the thread, and I'm using this pic in my game, I thought Draco could be made more intimidating with a more clarity on his purpose and his point of view.
I haven't read any materials involving Inquisitors, so I imagined what it would be like to face one in a SW styled combat, what kind of taunts he might use. I thought it would be cool if, like real life Inquisitors, Draco would try to get inside your head and mess with your point of view - your faith. Turn you against your friends.
As written, we see Draco extend the invitation to have the heroes join him, but he's so evil, we don't really understand why he chose this route - especially since he was a fallen Jedi. I don't want him to have shades of Shinzon in Star Trek Nemesis, where the motivation isn't clear.
So, I looked up a bunch of inquisitor and Sith quotes from a bunch of games and stories - some Star Wars, some Warhammer 40k. I thought of a way to flesh him out a bit more in his dialogue with the players.
Draco’s point of view
Neither the light nor dark side is superior. The Force is indifferent, caring nothing for the lives it consumes, as long as its own purpose is served.
Look to the wars fought in the name of the Force across history. • The Clone Wars • The Old Sith Wars • The Mandalorian Wars • The Great Hyperspace War
How many billions have died in the pursuit of squabbling Force religions?
If people were to be truly free, use of the Force must be eliminated from the galaxy, starting with the Jedi, the most dogmatic and inflexible of them all. Of all the Force users, only they dealt in absolutes. It was their inflexibility, their incomprehension of the greater good and their constant gazing to the future that blinded and corrupted them to their own decay.
In true corrupted fashion, in true historical Inquisitor fashion, he plans to carry the battle to all Force Users once the Jedi are extinct, finally ending with the Sith themselves, of which there are only two. Whether or not he succeeds, he feels the elimination of the Jedi, once and for all, will at least end the cycle. He's willing to make any sacrifice to end that cycle, knowing that it's an expedient means to and end, and that the death of future billions throughout history depends on it.
I like the reverse take on an Inquisitor, in that his job is to root out and destroy Jedi faith.
Draco's Taunts
Here are a bunch of taunts he might use in a battle.
I sense the doubt in you. Do you feel it, as I do, how The Force abandons you despite your precious faith? Renounce the Jedi ideals and do the wider good. Give up, end the millenia of bloodshed and misery it has brought.
Closer, but still so awkward. Your master would be ashamed.
I have studied you, and found nothing but weakness
Who was watching those claimed to protect us?
We will not suffer a corrupt overlords like the Jedi Council fighting the Senate, with millions of citizens caught in the middle.
The Jedi dealt in absolutes, unable to see the greater good.
If there is a greater good, the dark side is justified; it provides the power to do good in a wayward world.
I will ensure the Jedi cannot corrupt the world in a never-ending cycle.
The Jedi? Did they think killing a senator would save the senate?
A small mind is easily filled with faith.
Be careful when making friends, sister. You will most likely be forced to kill them.
Forgive yourself for the death of your master. Abandon his legacy. Only then can you end this cycle of bloodshed.
Pain is the wine of communion with heroes.
Was your faith in a galaxy without war, a world without hate? I can imagine such a place. I imagine it being destroyed from without, for it is weak.
Some have said the good die young. The wise know this is not true. There are many ways to die in the Empire. The ignoble die in pain, and the expendable die quickly... but to die young is the preserve of the foolish and the unlucky.

Any chance the new cyborged Inquisitor Draco can be added here? Love to see the same artist handle it. A black faceplate with a single red optical receptor.

Nice pic. Looks mean. I'd like to see that artist's take on the female inquisitor described in #7. M

All the players really enjoyed this illustration.
I also thanks NEFANDUS for his work.. Players enjoyed the point of view and quotes. It makes Draco a really interesting and temptating character.
I Think CL10 is too low for him and i want him back one more time without the cybernetic parts... So i increased his CL to 15, preparing him for the next encounter against players :
Challenge Level 15 Jedi 7 / Soldier 1 / Officer 2 / Force Adept 3 / Sith Lord 2 It represents : - his past of Jedi (7 levels) - his "vaillant dragon" side on the battle field with troopers : soldier 1 / officer 2 - his inquisitor career (force adept 3) - his knowledge taken from the Sith Lord Holocron who gave him access to Sith Lord Prestige Class.
In front of such a big fighter, they had to focus on retrieving the holocron. It was nice.
Here's his stat block ! warning : in my game player select packs of 2 or 3 thematics talents, and not only one talent every odd level. I tried to correct to keep it RAW for you... there might still be some error...
