The Faith Point system seems to be a very common question on this thread... I decided to collate all the discussion of them (i.e. what you've said about them PJR) into a single post, sblock it and link it into the index (in the Yuuzhan Vong Empire section). Faith Point system
Show
Faith Points As Yuuzhan Vong have no connection to the Force, they are unable to gain Force Points (covered by the Force Immunity special quality). However, as a substantial number of talents and other abilities require Force Points in order to activate, this leaves Yuuzhan Vong PC's with a substantial disadvantage.
Faith Points are a Yuuzhan Vong-unique trait that allows them to draw strength from their religion - similar to the way that the Jedi and the Sith draw strength from the Force. Yuuzhan Vong gain 2 + half their character level Faith Points every heroic level, though other abilities and talents may allow for the gain of temporary Faith Points or to extend their utility further.
A Faith Point can be used to provide a 1d6 bonus to any attack roll or skill check. In addition, a Faith Point may be used to activate any talent that requires the expenditure of a Force Point as long as the Yuuzhan Vong is eligible for that talent. Faith Points cannot be used to activate any talents from the Jedi starting class.
Unlike Force Points however, Faith Points cannot be used to stave off death as the Yuuzhan Vong faith does not permit them to resist it, but instead focuses on the importance of how they died. If I've missed anything out PJR, let me know and I'll edit the post accordingly.

after i read the whole NJO CG i had an another idea. maybe the lightsaber form powers could be adapt for the YV in some kind of Amphistaff and Bug Exploits or just Biotech Fighting Style. you could be oriented towards 4E Marital Exploit Powers.

I can't really comment on that as I have no interest in any other RPG other than Star Wars... the idea itself is interesting, but I can't really think of anything particular about YV fighting styles that would warrant 'Amphistaff Form Powers'. Anyway, time for some new content from me as it has been a while - a sidebar species writeup in the form of the Kushiban (I've based it off the RCR UAA entry, but I have tried to balance it for PC use): Kushiban Ability Modifiers: -4 Strength, +2 Dexterity. Kushiban lack strength due to their size, but are incredibly agile for the same reason. Tiny Size: As Tiny creatures, Kushiban have a +2 size bonus to their Reflex Defence and a +10 size bonus on Stealth checks. However, their lifting and carrying limits are half of those of Medium characters. Speed: Kushiban base speed is 4 squares. Agile: Kushiban may choose to reroll Jump checks and Acrobatics checks made to Escape Bonds, but the reroll must be accepted even if it is worse. Conditional Bonus Feat: Kushiban are in possession of extremely fast reactions. A Kushiban that has Initiative as a trained skill gains Skill Focus (Initiative) as a bonus feat. Mood Fur: Beings familiar with Kushiban are considered to have favourable circumstances on Perception checks made against Kushiban in order to Sense Deception or Sense Influence. Automatic Languages: Kushiban.
Comments (I know that DarthStroyer made Kushiban species stats, but this is my own attempt)?

Another sidebar species this morning, this time it's the Anx species - to which Madurrin belongs:
Anx Ability Modifiers: +2 Strength, -2 Wisdom. Anx are quite strong as a species, but aren't particularly perceptive. Large Size: As Large creatures, Anx have a -1 size penalty to their Reflex Defence and a -5 size penalty on Stealth checks. However, their lifting and carrying limits are double those of Medium characters. Speed: Anx base speed is 8 squares. Anatomical Awareness: When an Anx makes an unarmed attack, they score a critical hit on a natural roll of 19 or 20. However, a natural 19 is not considered an automatic hit; if you roll a natural 19 and still miss the target, you do not score a critical hit. Long-range Communication: An Anx can communicate with any member of their species as long as they are within 5 kilometres. Revealing Colouration: Any Anx not concealing their fin suffers a -5 penalty to Deception checks. Sprint: Anx may run up to five times their speed (instead of the normal four times). This ability is the same as the Scout talent of the same name. Automatic Languages: Anx.

Another update, this time it is a beast which isn't really featured in the NJO series much (though it did turn up in The Unifying Force): Bissop
Show
Bissop are reptillian riding hounds used by the Yuuzhan Vong as tracking animals, though they may also serve as mounts. They may also be used to pull the sleds of the Elite in Yuuzhan Vong society. Bissop are trained to return to their home base if their handlers are killed, allowing the Yuuzhan Vong to easily reacquire any quarry that attempts to escape them.

To get back in the game design mood, I'm going to start with a write-up of the 3 Force Traditions on one of the planets I created then add more to the CG. Wish me luck.
Hi again . How did this go in the end (and can we get a sneak-peak at your Force Traditions, please)?
I've got a vague plan to stat Ikrit and Luke Skywalker at the moment, I'll have to see what happens as I've got another small project on at the moment...

Would you like any help in writing it (or any other form of assistance with it)? BTW: The other project I mentioned was my attempt to design a Force Warrior prestige class for the martial Force traditions (Force adept doesn't really fit IMHO). If you want to make any comments on any aspect of the prestige class, feel free to do so (and if it won't mess up your Character Options chapter and if you'd like to, you can include the prestige class in the CG as well).

I am starting a new campaign that will take place in New Jedi Order. Your material is very useful, even if not fully completed yet. I am very unsure about the story and some Yuuzhan Vong insider info but I'm sure you guys will keep up the good work, so I will wait patiently.
A question though: can a Dathomir Witch use her Charm Beast ability to turn a Vong animal to her side?
