My purpose in this thread is to sort of "raise the bar." When comparing Trandoshans to Duros (and any number of other examples), it's not hard to acknowledge which species will actually be played. A balance must be achieved. I've learned some things having gone over the races in D&D 4th Edition, and decided to take a nod from their design philosophy. I am not a professional game creator. There will still be mistakes in trying to promote balance in the stats, so please be patient with me. Some will say this is broken and unbalanced, some will rejoice. I ask all to participate. If you don't necessarily want to create stats on your own, feel free to make a request. Species I've changed or plan to change:AqualishBalosarBithBothanCathar CereanChistori ClawditeDevaronianDurosEwokHumanGamorreanGunganIthorianKel DorMantellian Savrip Mon CalamariMuun NautolanNeimoidian NoghriQuarrenRodianShistavanenSkakoanSullustanTogorianTrandoshanTwi'lekUmbaranWookieeZabrakZeltronUse Human stats for near-human species that have no difference from humans beyond visible traits. These species would be Chiss, Nagai, etc. Submitted species statistics:Arkanian - by ErikModi Chiss - by ErikModi Falleen - By ErikModi Gran - by NPCMook Kushiban - by NPCMook Miraluka - by ErikModi Neti - by NPCMook Rodian - by Morrowner Togruta - by Caylen Ubese - by ErikModi

Petey,
Have you seen the two different versions of the Balosar, one of which was statted by WizO_Tao and the other by Isirga Eth? If one of these is the one to which you're referring above, maybe the other will suit you? (Both are available in the appendices of the "Saga Alien Anthology" sourcebook in my sig.)
Otherwise, your version looks very good.

Otherwise, your version looks very good. Yes, I'm afraid that neither one of those stat blocks float my boat. They generally produce the same thing, but go about it in different ways. Thank you for the compliment!
BTW, last night I finally checked my e-mail and saw that you had sent me the picture I requested. Thank you!

Noghri Ability Modifiers: +2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution. Noghri are tough and fast, and have often made excellent bodyguards. Medium Size: As Medium creatures, Noghri have no special bonuses or penalties due to size. Speed: Base speed is 6 squares. Scent: Noghri ignore concealment and cover when making Perception checks to notice creatures within 10 squares, and they take no penalty from poor visibility when tracking. Death Commandos: Noghri unarmed damage is treated as one dice step higher than other creatures of their size category. Thus, a Medium Noghri does 1d6 unarmed damage. If the same Noghri were to take Martial Arts feats, their damage dice would step up accordingly. Conditional Bonus Feat: Noghri trained in Stealth receive Skill Focus (Stealth) as a species bonus feat. Automatic Languages: Honoghran and Basic. Homeworld: Honoghr Average Height: 1.4 meters to 1.7 meters Average Weight: 63 kg to 70 kg Age: child 1-9 years, young adult 10-15 years, adult 16-34 years, middle age 35-49 years, old 50-59 years, venerable 60+ years Example Names: Khabarakh, Rukh, Kahr’corvh, and Cakhmaim.

Hey, Pete...you do know that there are official WotC stats for the Noghri, right? Noghri (Official Wizards of the Coast stats)
Show
Ability Modifiers: +2 Dex, –4 Cha Size: Small Speed: 6 squares Bonus Feat: Noghri are always trained in self-defense from a very early age. All Noghri gain the Martial Arts I feat as a bonus feat. Intuitive Initiative: A Noghri has quick reflexes and may choose to reroll any Initiative check, but the result of the reroll must be accepted even if it is worse. Low-Light Vision: Noghri ignore concealment (but not total concealment) from darkness. Primitive: Noghri do not gain Weapon Proficiency (pistols, rifles, or heavy weapons) as starting feats at 1st level, even if their class normally grants those feats. Scent: Noghri have a keen sense of smell. At close range (within 10 squares), Noghri ignore concealment and cover for purposes of Perception checks, and they take no penalty for poor visibility when tracking (see Survival skill, Saga Edition Core Rulebook, page 73). Languages: Honoghran.
That said, if you've made these because you're displeased with the official stats, then, they looked pretty balanced.

That said, if you've made these because you're displeased with the official stats, then, they looked pretty balanced. Yeah, it's pretty much the same story again. One of my players wants a Noghri. I looked over his character and was displeased. He was incapable compared to the other players. Primitive is about the worst species trait there is. Plus, I don't see any cause for low-light vision, which can get kind of redundant with scent anyway. We'll see if the player likes this. EDIT: I almost forgot. They shouldn't be small. Wookieepedia lists their average height at a lowest of 1.4 meters, while the Medium size category reaches down to 1.3 meters.
I simply posted this here as a way for me to keep track of it. Yet, if anyone has any input, I appreciate it. I'm even thinking of redoing a number of species (Zabrak has been bothering me for a long time).
Thanks, Rob.

I'm sorry. I've just never received such a grand opportunity to use that smiley.
