im sorry if this has been discussed but the internet at my work keeps locking up when i try to search... i have been looking at ways to make my guy a valuable member of our group without using the force, any ways with out making a huge mental breakdown discussion on force choke ill get to my question, when you use the weapon mounts to fire do you use your att bonus or is there some sort of default computer system stats that you go to? any help on this will help me destroy jedi and kill my hangover while i keep passing out my finals to these crazy kids

If you are talking about weapon emplacements on a ship, you use the ship's intelligence modifier which represents the fire-control system.

Weapon mounts on armor however, just use whatever modifiers you'd use if you were holding the weapon in your hands.

yeah that is what i was scared of... i have a +17 with my heavy blaster rifer, and i can strip the stun settings off of two of them move the size down one so that they each take up 2 slots out of the four weapon slots. i would have 2 mounted 3d10 weapons(or 5d10 on auto fire, can armor even do that?) and one in my hands. i have heavy armor and it helps me stabilize. so im going to auto fire... 3 times and potentially do 15D10 a turn. that is broken, but im not going to complain

You know you don't actually get any extra actions though.

Firing from a weapon mount takes the same action as firing from a held weapon.

If you also want to fire from another weapon mount, you need the dual-weapon mastery feats, or double/triple attack.

You can only fire from three weapons if you have either double attack and dual weapon mastery, or triple attack.

And these feats and talents all have penalties to attack built in.

You don't get extra attacks from having extra mounted weapons.

yeah the jedi will still just own me, it has reduced me to finding loop holes in the system:( oh well what can you do?

i must had misunderstood it then(which is entirely possible) it looked as if the armor fires the automated weapons on its own, that is why i asked what attack bonus you would attribute to the weapons that are mounted. i dont have the text with me as i am at work but i could have mistaken due to the fact that i was drinking. oh well. i could be the most ridiculously broken soldier with 99 reflex and 2 level 1 force users could just force choke me, sure i could just delay the damage of one of them to the next turn shoot him and break his concentration, but the other one would get me. :) thats why im trying to get some help from my armor

There is a paragraph about autonomous weapon mounts in Scum And Villainy, but Rodney has since clarified that it was left in by mistake.

They were going to have a mechanic for weapons that fire by themselves at some point, then removed it, but one paragraph referring to it got left in by mistake.

Don't worry so much about it.

Nobody is supposed to be able to fight horders of equal-level force users by himself.

You have friends, who can disrupt their concentration to use force choke. And even if they can't, the force user is effectively out of the fight as well, since he needs to spend a standard action each round to hold you in the choke.

People worry too much about the one-on-one thing. You have a group with you.

Also, the force equals out as people reach higher levels. It's not as automatically a hit. You have more hitpoints to soak the damage, etc.

Not everyone does force choke all the time either, it's not so good when you want to engage a whole party by yourself.
