Looks like we're getting a new series of Rules of the Game articles for 4e. Do RotG articles count as an official source for RPGA/LFR purposes? How about the FAQ? Custserv? Podcasts?

Yes, the RotG articles count as an official source material for RPGA/LFR purposes. See page 3 of the RPGA Character Creation Guide.
These articles fall under two qualifying categories:
1) Clarifications issued through the official Game Support team at Wizards of the Coast.
2) Updates posted on the official Wizards website (through D&D Insider or as news items).
I guess someone could argue whether it falls under 1) but I think it does. It definitely falls under 2).

RotG, the FAQ, and Custserv all count as outlined in the CCG. Podcasts don't.
Sorry WOTC, you lost me with Essentials. So where I used to buy every book that came out, now I will be very choosy about what I buy. Can we just get back to real 4e?
