Does anyone have any idea when an adventure that follows up on WEEK1-4 will be released? My players would kind of like some resolution before we do any other LFR stuff.

Many months away, or next years WitR's. What kind of resolution are you hoping for?

I have a feeling the resolution is in the novels and not further adventures.

The events of "Icy Queen's Crossing" were based on the events in the novel The Fall of Highwatch by Mark Sehestedt: currently available wherever WotC products are sold. The book is part of a trilogy called Chosen of Nendawen. I believe the next book in the trilogy will be released in December 2010. If the Forgotten Realms Story Team sees fit to allow more LFR adventures to use the characters from the novels, then you might see a follow-up. However, it is completely in their hands.

I think that's a bit of a shame.
I was under the impression that this adventure was designed to draw people into the Living Forgotten Realms who had not previously played, and was also supposed to encourage the use of ongoing characters rather than the one-off pregens.
Certainly for our group I think we would have been better off starting one of the other campaigns, it would have given us a bit more continuity and a running start with regular events. I certainly had the impression this was the first of several events in the campaign (obviously I've no idea where I got that idea from and I may have dreamt it:-).
For OUR group, and for me as DM this was our first venture into LFR. Now you've got us hooked, I don't think it would have taken too much more planning to include in the adventure (remember, many DMs across the world have never done this before) a final section along the lines of:
What Next?
If you and your players have enjoyed this adventure you may wish to move on to one of the following adventure arcs (or whatever they're called)
CORE 1 - This adventure arc is about blah, blah, and is set in such and such. DALE 1 - etc
Give us a few options. I had no idea how to even download new adventures until I got some great one-to-one help from a UK WOTC rep (Thanks Tom!), so some advice would be much appreciated.
Sorry to moan, but you've worked so hard designing the adventures, and the DMs are gagging to go - a little bit extra would really help them if they aren't regulars on the forums.

If you are looking for reoccuring characters i think you should take a look at DALE 1-6. Its a paragon adventure where the characters can meet many NPC's they already know from other adventures from the Dalelands, Dragon Coast etc. The adventures where these characters are present, are listed in there as well, so you can build it from there.

If you are looking for more of a "campaign" feel, here are some suggestions:
--Move into the MINI adventures. This mini-campaign is designed to give characters exactly the kind of tightly knit story you are asking for. Most of them are currently available, so you can start right away.
--Run the adaptable adventures. ADAP1-1 is the adventure in the back of the FR Campaign Guide. Then play ADAP1-5, which is the LFR version of Menace of the Icy Spire from Dungeon Magazine. From there move into ADAP1-2, 1-3, and 1-4, which is the LFR adaptation of the published adventure Scepter Tower of Spellguard.
--Use the My Realms adventures to create your own LFR adventures for your players. You can create your own NPCs with whom your players can interact on a regular basis.
--Others can suggest ways that they have strung adventures together to give the players more of a campaign feel.

Thanks Shawn,
That's the kind of excellent personal advice that I'm guessing lots of other groups didn't get, and they may drift away from LFR.
Will get on your suggestions this weekend.

and to add on to this, you can follow up Scepter Tower with CORE1-10 (which also starts a storyline that is continued in a higher tier)... with all of those, you'll have an arc that should take characters to about 5th or 6th level without ever leaving the Gray Vale region...
