And yes Playtest may not be enough of a distinguishing feature, but if it is compiled it should be ascribed to the relevant issue, not indicated as Playtest.

Actually, for items that are compiled, add the page number as part of the reference. That way, if it has no page number, it wasn't compiled.

And, for the compiled stuff, it would be easy to find with the page reference...

Oh, and BTW, the Ki Focus stuff was, indeed, more-or-less, in the compiled issue.

Dragon Magazine 379
Feat - Shadow Initiate - on per CHris Tulach
 all other items - on
Notes: Implement Expertise (Ki Focuses) is allowed, as that feat was published as applying to all implements
Shadow Meld (Assassin Utility 2) renamed Shadowed Legion
Intent to Murder (Assassin attack 29) appears to be missing
Only material from the Assassin articles appears to be included in the October update
Ki Focuses (magic) are turned ON because of a line from the Assassin (heroic tier) article:
Page 18, middle column, second paragraph:
You can imbue your ki focus with magic as if it were a physical implement.

Warforged are from a legal source and can be played per CCG 1.9

Sorry, man, you've stumbled into an ongoing joke on this board.

Whenever we get a thread questioning whether a particular option is legal in LFR, someone (almost always Dragon9 Smile) then has to ask if warforged are legal.  (In the early days of the campaign, it seemed like we had a legitimate thread asking that question every third day.)

Page references would be a fair bit of extra work, especially if they were to make it a universal practice (i.e. putting in page numbers on every compendium item) though it would certainly be nice.

Probably not nice enough to justify the extra man-hours.

Every third day?  It seemed more like every third hour.

Sorry WOTC, you lost me with Essentials.  So where I used to buy every book that came out, now I will be very choosy about what I buy.  Can we just get back to real 4e?

Check out the 4e Conversion Wiki.

While that is true, the LFR Warforged card is still not legal.

If one existed.  There never was a Warforged Card.  An Orc, Gnome, and Shadar-Kai card in the first batch.  Of which only the Orc is still legal.  (and the current Bladelign and Kenku cards as well)

Which would indeed make the counterfeit warforged LFR card illegal =)

Blah blah blah

(briefly ponders joke about how Warforged are illegal in Dead Remembered Collective and therefore still can't be played...)

I hate the term "debut content" because what they really mean is Premier Content and there is a difference.
