We are a group of mostly 40-somethings with one ~30-something who are playing primarily 4th Edition, with one player running a Pathfinder "Rise of the Runelords" campaign interspersed.  I'm beginning to plan an Eberron campaign that will probably start in early 2010.

We play in Epping, NH mostly on Saturday nights, sometimes on Friday or Sunday night, and rarely on weeknights.  We are mostly married-with-kids and our gaming time is limited by real life responsibilities.  If we meet more than twice a month, we consider it good fortune.

We do lean towards combat and action over heavy, immersive roleplay; romance, inter-party melodrama, and serious political intrigue are essentially non-existent (and that's okay).  Not to say we don't roleplay at all, but it's not our primary focus.

We're looking for basically normal, stable, employed adults with real lives that enjoy gaming but whose lives don't revolve around it.  You might even be the type who doesn't tell (m)any of your friends or co-workers that you play D&D.  Your secret is safe with us.

If this sounds like a good fit, reply to this message and we'll try to find a time to meet.

Hi there.  I am in my early 30's and just moved into durham in order to finish my degree.  The group i left at home was mainly in their 40's.  Your group sounds like my style.  Are you still looking for players?

Sorry for not responding to you, gsquirrelgo, but the subscription feature must have failed.  I never got an email saying someone responded to this thread.

Our group is currently in flux due to differences of opinion about 4e and 3.5/Pathfinder.  I prefer 4e and really don't want to go back to 3.5/PF, and another member feels the exact opposite.  The remaining three players are less stubborn.  Right now it looks like I win, more due to my geography than my opinion.

As for Eberron, significant stress from work leaves me short on time and creative energy to work on the Eberron campaign, so for now we're playing through H3 and then we'll see what things look like.

Maybe a new member or two would breathe new life into this group (and my desire to DM).  Having a consistently available group of 5 players and 1 DM would be a nice change of pace from the previous few years.

Faustus, I replied to your PM.  Squirrel, if you get this reply and are still interested, please respond.  I can arrange a meeting with the group at The Holy Grail here in Epping, where we can make the requisite Sense Motive checks and see if we're all a good fit.
