Greettings Endbringers! As you may or may not remember, I was the R+D lead for a crazy, clear-plastic card game of apocalyptic horror known as Hecatomb. When that game was cancelled, I had just finished playtesting and writing the flavor text for the next expansion.

Back then, I wasn’t allowed to release the cards, but a few weeks ago I was contacted by one of our players (thanks, CheronFerryMan!) about Hecatomb, and it got me to thinking about it again. So, after a few trips around the office (Greg up in brand and Kate in legal) I was given the green light to release the lost expansion: Sangral City!

Just to be clear, this doesn’t mean we are bringing the game back, it’s just a way to say thanks and that I haven’t forgotten about you. Enjoy!

Ryan! I haven't seen you around here in ages.

This is awesome beyond words. I'm downloading it now and I'm sure I'll come back and post some more after I look it over. Thanks! And be sure to thank Greg and Kate as well.

Ryan,

Thanks so much. Now to figure out how to make playable versions of these cards that blend in with the regular cards...

Anyone have any ideas?

[Use extra cards with] White paint + permanent marker? Would thicken the cards slightly, but I don't think you can remove the card image without ruining the plastic. Tape the clear edges and use a spray can/air brush to get the paint layer as thin as possible. A brush just wouldn't cut it.

You might even be able to tape/affix the "blanks" to a sheet of paper and run them through an inkjet to get the art on there, but between that and aligning it all properly, I think it's probably to much trouble. I'd just go with the markers, myself. Sharpies come in lots of colors now.

From the other thread on this in the Gleemax Gaming General forum. (which is not any more active)

I may try this in the near future. I'll let you know how it works out if I do.

This is odd: it tells me the page was not found. Is anyone else having trouble downloading the item?

Also, I know this isn't the right place to ask about this, but since everyone reading this thread is a fan, what does everyone think about playing a Hecatomb d20 campaign here on Gleemax?

Noooo! This is the greatest game news I've had in a while and I can't download it (page cannot be displayed).

Halp! Whym since you're one of the few who comes here still any chance you might be able to post it somewhere?

Until I can get the file tell me: is there art? What's the theme? Gimmie Something???

Also, apparently my account is gone. I want my horseman badge back! LOL.

As for how to use the set. There are hecatomb blanks in existence (back is printed and front is blank), I have one. I just don't know how readily available they are.
