Edit: Sorry, Ravenous has several good fantasy tracks, but isn't rock&roll. Awesome soundtrack though. (I'm totally serious about DW4, best rock OST ever!)

Soundtracks are good too. Especially good gaming/fantasy theme music.
Thanks for the suggestions so far, keep 'em coming.

Mastodon - Blood Mountain. Full of songs about mythical beasts. For a more aquatic-based adventure, try their Leviathan album.
Or for a gloomy, atmospheric adventure out on the moors, there's Opeth's Ghost Reveries.

I highly recommend The Winter Wake album by Elvenking. It's folk metal, so it's great for D&D.
It even has a song called "Rouse: Your Dream"*.
*actual song may not include colon
The Dragon Above - Eberron news and new content for both 3E and 4E. Home of the Eberron Bestiary.

Woot! That's a lot of classic Sabbath there! How come nobody has mentioned Jethro Tull yet?
