This general problem is a known issue and Microsoft has a patch for it. Downloading the Wide Beta should prompt you to get that patch if you don't already have it. I believe this is the one that you need: Patch. If that doens't work, please report it (along with a full DxDiag) so we can investigate further.

I tried it again, still doesn't work. I'Ve reported it with a DxDiag. I just hope it's easily solved ^^

Just as a note, here's what I did excactly:


1. Download beta, install it.
2. started it, the fix did not work since my system was set to japanese.
3. switched back to german system.
4. started v4, downloaded the hotfix, installed it, doesn't work either.
5. De-installed MTGO V3+V4.
6. Downloaded and installed V4. Installed hotfix. started, doesn't work.

It definitely is the known problem though, so I really don't know what the problem might be

Thanks for the help anyway, it'S reported and maybe I just did something wrong^^

The Microsoft link that Chris gave eventually lets you select your platform and language pair.  I don't think you need to reinstall the client, simply installing the correct patch should fix the issue the next time you run the client.

Did it again, still doesn't work T_T

I have one more idea though. I can't find the exe for the beta client anywhere (and windows search didn't help yet either), so I'm starting the beta client by clicking the setup to install it (it will take a few seeconds, then notice that it's already installed, and boot). Maybe that's the problem? :X
Can someone tell me how the V4 client exe is named, so I can search for it?^^"

Here:

Some folders may be called differently on your computer but the first 6 folders should be the same. Up to:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\

Thanks, didn't help either sadly

Seems I'll have to wait for the support to help me, if they can. I really don't know how this is supposed to be possible, seeing as there IS a patch to exactly fix this.

I wouldn't suggest this generally, but since you already changed your language once, maybe try changing your localization to English, and try again? There were some problems early on with users running the new client on "exotic" localizations. No rule to it, but sometimes it happened.

Unfortunately, VCLs do not currently have the tools necessary to take moderation actions directly. VCLs submit their actions to ORCs, who then actually perform the action. This processing can take between a few minutes and several hours, depending on how busy/attentive the ORCs are.


If you see something that needs VCL attention, please use this thread (MTGO) or this thread (paper) to make a request and a VCL will look at it as soon as possible.  CoC violations should be reported to Customer Service using the "report post" button. Please do not disrupt the thread by making requests of either kind in-thread.
