This saves a lot of time, particularly with double lands.  I was surprised that this wasn't discussed or addressed in the recent hour long video clip (as far as I recall).

Where was this video clip?

I can't figure out how to order blockers. No amount of clicking or right-clicking has any effect that I can tell in the GUI, and I've seen my opponents stall out on this same moment before simply assigning damage that seems to be suboptimal. I've won or lost games on the basis of this, so it's particularly irritating.

You drag them.

I agree that it would be confusing if you did not already know how it works. It is one of the only interactions in the client that requires dragging, and there is no visual clue.

Until the deck searching is faster this client is unusable for me.  Searching my 364 card deck took forever to play a kodama reach.  5-10 seconds for the deck to load.  30 seconds of client freeze after picking the first land.  Another 10 seconds with the 2nd land.  Completely absurd.  This action takes 10 seconds total on the current client.

So I tried the beta with some practice games.  Still not liking it.

I miss the OK button being in the middle of the screen on the left but that is preference I suppose.

What I did have trouble with:
After game 1, I think there is different ways to go to side board.  I did not hit the "go to sideboard" on the pop up that says "blah blah won game 1" and thus went to sideboard a different way.  Then in the next game the pop up was there the entire time but without the button.  It just had the x in the upper right.  I tried clicking on the x several times and tried moving it but nothing worked.  So I left it alone and just figured its annoying.  Until my board was layed out just right where my only blocker I needed to block with was hidden by the pop up.  I could not do anything to get to him to block so lost the game.

Staggershock , is there anything special I need to get rebound spells to work?  The current client I just click on the rebound and it lets me target whatever.  In the beta, I tried for a couple minutes to get it to target my player or his creature.  The only thing the targeting arrows seemed to give me was myself?  My opponent and his creatures were all blacked out and when I tried to click them after clicking staggershock it did nothing.  Eventually I just gave up and told it to ignore the trigger.  I suppose I could of done 2 to myself?

Is there a way to get my sound alerts in game that I have in the current client?  Helps me to keep track of whats going on.

Also is there a way to import all decks at once from one client to another?

This problem occurred to me many times, including in tournaments which caused game losses.  I have notified the bug through official channels several times in Dec & Jan, however it is still not fixed.  Hopefully in this Wednesday's update?

Another thread requested responses to the new "blocker's row" feature in the beta client.

Until I read the official explaination of the feature from Wizards_Sean, I thought this was actually a bug. It just looks like the cards randomly shrink down after blockers are declared, and the red zone moves. It turns out that the idea here is that blocking and non-blocking creatures are given their own row, hence the shrink-down. Maybe I just never saw a case where there were blocking and non-blocking creatures, but I just never figured it out.

My feedback is that this feature is not only distracting, but unnecessary. We can alread see which creatures are blocking - they are the ones that are drawn such that they move down slightly so to overlap slightly with the red zone, and specifically align the with already-obvious attacking creatures. Your own example screenshot shows that vertical space is introduced in order to accommodate the extra row of non-blocking creatures, even when there aren't any. As vertical space is already completely utilised, the only option is to shrink stuff down, every time.

Vertical space is at an absolute premium in the new client - others have commented that the horizontal phase bar wastes very useful vertical space, and even in your own screenshot you have shrunk down the area for the player's hand (such that only the top half of cards are even visible).

I suspect this new feature exists to reduce the impact of creatures swapping around when assigning blockers. A new row means blockers can remain in-order in the new row, and pop down to the red zone as needed without upsetting the relative positions of the other creatures. If this is indeed the intended behaviour, then I would encourage the designers to investigate other ways in which vertical space could be utilised better.

Preventing this movement is indeed the purpose of the blockers row.  Drastic movement during decisionmaking has proven troublesome, so we want to ensure that cards are bouncing around the battlefield as players are making decisions, such as blocking.

Please continue to provide feedback.
Thanks.

In it's current implementation, there is not enough vertical space for the new blockers row. The client needs as much vertical space as it can get if cards are to be displayed in a meaningful resolution.

Adding a vertical row risks frequent re-scaling of every other permanent on the board. This is worse than the jumping around problem you are trying to avoid.

I don't have trouble with how it works in V3. I find the arrows intuitive. In paper I find myself drawing mental arrows while I touch the cards "this, this and this will block that, and this blocks both of those" etc. Is the arrows system so broken it needs fixing ?

Also, the "choose creature to block" stage puts a yellow box around the attackers I could block. This apparently simple stage is so cpu intensive that other processes on the system are struggling! What is going on there ?
