Hmm, I somehow got it working too. Just tried reinstalling again, but using the default location on C: (rather than on my D: partition). Still got the same CRC error but only one - after ignoring it, everything goes smoothly. I don't get the original FileCopyStart error. There's one corrupted card picture, but it's a Tempest CoP:White - not like I use that :P

I am also having this problem (my issue is identical to the initial post). The problem for me with the proposed solution is that I already uninstalled the program, thus have no pics to copy over. My issue is just this error: The following error occurred on the file C:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online\Graphics\Cards\Pics\91863_typ_reg_sty_010.jpg'. The directory or file can not be created. (0x52)
Has anyone found a another solution?

I also had the error message
"The following error occurred on the file C:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online\Graphics\Cards\Pics\... The directory or file can not be created. (0x52)"
I was able to just hold down the "I" key to ignore all of them. Eventually it continued with the installation, which completed successfully.
Then I was able to run the client which gave me the "FileCopyStart -- Object reference not set to instance of an object." I was able to fix this with Sayyadina_'s solution.
