I was playing a game where my opponent cast "Bump in the Night"...I cast "Reverberate" and was asked to choose a target for the copy.  I could not, no matter what I did, change the target for the copy to my opponent.  In the box, there was a button that said "Same Targets" and no other choices.  I couldn't click on the opponent, and I couldn't do anything to change it.

Instead of losing 3 life, I lost 6 life as the copy I made targeted me, as well.

I could be wrong here as I am not a rules expert, but since Bump in the Night is 'target opponent' and Reverberate doesn't change the spell's controller, there is only one legal target in that case... you.

While you don't control the original spell, you do control the copy.  Thus, it is actually the opposite, the copy shouldn't be able to target you at all, because you are not your opponent!

That is definitely a bug.

Note that K's logic has to be applied to thing that redirect ( Goblin Flectomancer ) or copy and redirect ( Wild Ricochet ).  When you are simply changing the target, you don't control the spell, so if it says "opponent", you can't change the target.
So...Your opponent's Bump in the Night +
Reverberate = Each lose 3 life
Goblin Flectomancer = You lose 3 life (and waste a goblin...)
Wild Ricochet = Each lose 3 life

However, if you change that to your opponent's lightning bolt +
Reverberate = Each lose 3 life
Goblin Flectomancer = Opponent loses 3 life
Wild Ricochet = Opponent loses 6 life

I've heard of a bug with targeting players in the beta, I would assume this is part of that.

It had to happen sometime.

If anyone is able to reproduce the instance with Bump in the Night that would be excellent.

I was on the beta.  What did you do after you cast the Reverberate?  What did you click to move on?  The only option in the corner was "Same Targets"...I ended up clicking that after nothing else worked and lost...

What did you click?

When I copied the spell, it asked me "same target" little button bottom left. I didnt click that. I clicked on my opponent. At that point  the game moved foward and the spell resolved as it should have.

If I tried clicking on myself, it wouldnt do anything. I was only able to click on my opponent.

Hope that helps. - Joe

I go to Collection.  I choose Standard for the Format.  I go to Type, and try to choose everything except Land...CRASH.  Every time.
