An absolute fpleasure to have bubba and programmerman in town.

/join bbs live '12 was a blast.

Highlights:

bubba taking shots Thursday night whilst trying to decide what karoake song he was gonna sing amidst 20-30 folk from some random company based in Renton.  It may or may not be true that a lot of WotC folk have questionable singing voices.

Everybody in the karoake bar joining in to sing along with Cee-Lo Green's 'fYou'.  It may or may not be true that I recommended to bubba that he do 'Rocking the Suburbs' but that he was beat to it by someone else.

Picking up programmerman Friday night and introducing him to bubba who was playing at the venue.  It may or may not be true that I was lost about 30 seconds into the deep geek speak conversation.

Getting up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning to go play paper magic for 12+ hours with sets I've never played with.  It may or may not be true that I was told to do so by LS2K, WWW, and AF on Thursday night.

Going 4-5 playing with cards I had never seen before.  It may or may not be true that 2 wins were byes.

With over 800 people still playing, getting paired with programmerman in round 7.  It may or may not be true that I called that occuring before the tourney started.

bubba making day two.  It may or may not be true that when offered to practice drafting online after day 1, bubba  instead wanted to play multiplayer sealed M12 Planechase.

Watching bubba play day 2.  It may or may not be true that I got Kibler and Finkel to sign each other's player cards from years back and that both of them laughed when they saw their cards. 

programmerman being an absolute ladies magnet.  It may or may not be true that he was knitting the scarf for his mom between rounds both days as a lure.

Playing 2HG sealed tourney with programmerman whilst bubba was tearing up day 2.  It may or may not be true that 'bubba was tearing up day 2' might be a bit of an exaggeration.

Playing 2HG sealed tourney with programmerman who is an awesome player.  It may or may not be true that I did a great job of holding my cards so that programmerman could see them and that I was usually able to carry out his instructions.

Watching bubba play EDH for hours on end in between rounds of our 2hg.  It may or may not be true that watching buba play in the GP was more fun than watching EDH.

Going to Denny's at 10:30 PM for dinner.  It may or may not be true that I decided to end our dinner at midnite after programmerman went on tilt while playing scrabble on his phone because his opponent scored 32 with the word 'xu'.  Or that it took the waiter 20 minutes to figure out they were out of meatballs.

Getting up at 3:30 AM to take bubba and programmerman to the airport after dropping them after dinner.  It may or may not be true that I won't bother going back to bed and instead type up a report of /join bbs live '12.

This one is also confirmed. M12 sealed planechase did not happen, though. Neither did Bubba go read some strategy articles nor watch some videos. Also, Bubba didn't hop in 1000 practice drafts. Or even just go to bed early to be well-rested for Sunday. No, Bubba got on the forums to attend to his VCL duties. Friggin' dedicated.
