Extremely consistent 1st turn kill (80% or better if played perfectly). Classic online format as of September 1st 2011. sideboard to fit current meta. Pact for fow/misstep. Recall for nullrod/trini/chalice. Vapor for Leyline's. Leyline for mirror matches, high tide etc.. Add duress if meta is counter heavy. If against anything slower than a 1st or 2nd turn lock or without free counters, don't bother with sideboard. The only weakness it has is against opponents 1st turn null/chalice (they went first) and you didnt draw city of brass and/or vapor/recall. Land grant (when released online) should help with that. Also insane free counter heavy hands i.e 3 fow's and 2 misstep's may be tough but possible to handle (add pact and duress). Spoils of the vault and brainstorm are the first cards i sideboard out.
Playing maindeck should be straightforward if you have experience with tendril decks. You can combo led with Windfall/wheel similar to infernal tutor. lots of other synergies. Probe or spoils or windfall/wheel combo nicely with vampiric/seal or brainstorm. Ideal starting hand should consist of mostly mana souces and 1 windfall or tutor. probes or brainstorm help set that up. chrome mox converts excess to mana. Basically casting windfall/wheel or demonic/infernal for yawgmoth's will with led in play should guarantee win. The necessary storm count is incredibly easy to create. Thanks to Masques being released, we now have land grant online. Now the deck is 100% geared towards T1 kills. Vampiric tutor and Imperial seal were removed along with 4 city's of brass and replaced with 4 land grant and Bayou/Tropical island.
The sideboard has changed. We removed Hurkyl's recall and added 4 Mental misstep and reduced leyline of sanctity by 1.
Upon testing the only matchups that are problems are:
shops when they go first. Sub vapor for brainstorm.
oath or any deck that uses free counters(fow, mm, daze etc. Sub brainstorm and spoil of the vault for pacts of negation and MM.
