i understand the gleemox issue but havent we lost more people when we moved from gleemox to this forum?
We lost additional people. I'm honestly not sure which change cost us more regulars.
I think it was when we went to pseudo-facebook (this). Heck, I even left for 6-8 months. And, I might never have come back if it wasn't for the CCC...
However, it might not have done all that much if it was not preceded by the gleemax fiasco. No way to really know for sure.

Very interesting read. I am amazed that so little progress has been made. I played DotP 2012, and it did make me go back to MTGO, for a couple weeks. I had stopped playing when leagues left the game. I am now playing DotP 2013, and it made me go back to MTGO to see what was new. Nothing is changed, except we are suppose to have access to the new beta client today. Granted DotP is not MTGO, but I can't see ever playing MTGO until they improve the interface, fix the bugs, and bring back leagues. I am a casual player, and drafting just isn't worth it to me. I can't see someonne new to magic, that starts with DotP even considering MTGO once they see the interface.
