Join me in /join WWK every Friday at 730PM EST for When Worlds Kaleid! What is Kaleidoscope?Kaleidoscope
is a casual Magic Online format for fans of multi-color decks: every non-land in your deck must be a multicolor card. This includes split and hybrid cards that are more than one color. Kaleidoscope is based on the Legacy
) cardpool; all multicolored cards that are legal in Legacy - except as noted below - are allowed.
Constructed decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards, with an optional 15 card sideboard.
As the host, I will not play unless there is an odd number of players, or 7 players, and I will be ineligible for any prizes. If I do play and make it into T4, everyone ranked below me will move up 1 spot.Where is it?
Games happen in the Anything Goes room. (Menu > Play > Casual Play > Anything Goes)
Game chat, registration, & instructions happen in the WWK room. Type /join WWK in your chat window. Does it cost anything?
WWK is free to enter! There is absolutely no cost - other than your time - to play.Swiss Pairing, 8 player minimum
8-17 players = 3 rounds, T4
18-24 players = 3 rounds, T8
25-32 players = 4 rounds, T8
33+ players = 5 rounds, T8
All pairings & rankings are decided by DCI-r. What can I win?
1st place: 4 tickets credit at TheCardNexus
2nd place: 3 tickets credit at TheCardNexus
Door prize: 2 tickets credit at TheCardNexus
T2 must post their deck list in this thread before the next event
if they wish to claim these prizes.
The door prize will be awarded to a randomly chosen player who played all rounds
and did not make playoffs. Player need not be present to win.How do I collect my prizes?
If you currently have an active entry at TheCardNexus, credits will be added to your account at TheCardNexus within 1 week of posting decklist.
If you've never traded with TheCardNexus before, or your current credit with them is 0, a credit entry has to made into the bot. This credit entry cannot be done manually, it has to be done via a trade. You can either A)
buy something from the bot and "leave change" (easiest), or B)
open a trade and sell a piece of junk (basic land, trash common, etc.) to create the credit entry. If you do not have a piece of junk to sell, you can obtain a free piece of junk from TheCardNexusHelp account, or from me. Then let me or the sponsor know, and you prize credits will be added.
This only applies to winners who have 0 credits at TheCardNexus. If you use your credits fully, and go back to 0 credits, you will have to do the "sell a junk to create a credit file" routine again. But since TheCardNexus does their valuations to 3 decimal points, I don't see this becoming a problem. Fine Print
