Hey everyone, The Magic Online Team would like to offer its sincerest apologies for the recent system issues we have had and the impact it has had on players trying to qualify for the current Magic Online Championship Series season. Since these issues have occurred so close to the end of the season, we have decided to make the following changes this season:
- Players who have accumulated at least 12 Qualifier Points will be qualified for the Season VI End-of-Season Championship
- Players who have at 7 to 11 Qualifier Points will be qualified for the Season VI Last Chance Qualifier
- Rather than requiring players to provide product, the Season VI LCQ will be a Nix Pax event that requires 30 Event Tickets to enter (like a Classic Product Championship)
Thank you for your support and patience. Have fun!

So, to make this 100% clear for myself, I currently have 12 QPs for the season and I am hustling to get these last three today, however, according to this post I will be Qed off 12 points, is this right?

Horrible decision. The events were already huge and were absolutely nothing special to qualify, this will mean that another round is added to the 13 already existing. If anything it should be made harder to qualify.

It's not like this is a permanent thing. This is just Wizards way of apologizing for the terrible lag and system issues they had this season, as it made it hard for a lot of players to play.

Grow up.
WOTC is helping to mitigate the affect of their problems(even if they are/arent their fault). It is VERY unlikely that this decision is the difference between 9 and 10 rounds.

ohh boo hoo...not one extra round..oh god whatever shall we do...one more hour thats the end of the world.
Or its a help-out to people who missed the events due to circumstances with the program...yeah just saying sucks for you you dont have enough QP's would have been right.
The sad thing is...the guy is probably so bad that extra round wont matter for him he will go 0-2 drop anyways.
I like fun, but competitive decks. So I might not play what is optimal but they have normally been tested to have a 2/3 winrate.
